This will help many new players, including me (I've started practicing Expert and the fast-strumming gets on my nerves).
If you see a few options you use, pick the one you use the most in order to achieve better performances.
Of course it would be even more helpful if you mention your keys.

I choose a different option: "Whatever you're comfortable with."

Re: Poll: How do you strum your keyboard guitar-style
well, what are you comfortable with then?
I mean- strumming IS an important part part of your game.
personally, I find "Using the thumb, with the right hand holding the keyboard from below" most comfortable- it's the natural way to hold the keyboard guitar-style if you only use your hands. but- it's impossible to get to high strumming-speed this way and I'm currently testing fingers-strumming.

I voted "Using 2 fingers, with the right hand holding the keyboard from above"
Easiest to alt strum for me. However, I use a GHII controller now. (not because I fail on keyboard, just because keyboard isn't comfortable. In fact, my keyboard probably has a faster response time than my GH controller and the keys are easier to press than fret buttons)

Re: Poll: How do you strum your keyboard guitar-style
wish I had a GH controller. what's your key config?
I forgot to mention my:
1-5 frets, backspace for strumming (] atl. strumming), delete for whammy and enter for sp.

Re: Poll: How do you strum your keyboard guitar-style
i chose the first one cause i dont play that hard songs yet, but i do alt to double strumming if i play harder songs
Re: Poll: How do you strum your keyboard guitar-style
2 Fingers, holding keyboard from above.
I have 1-5 for frets, ENTER and \ for strumming, and Insert for star power (actually, I think Numpad 0 would be best for Star Power, now that I think about it...).

My keyboard key config is numbers 1-5 for frets, Shift and Enter for strumming, and I didn't use whammy or SP when I had a keyboard because I'm too used to tilting, I can't bring myself to press a button.
My GH controller config is something along the lines of Joy1-5 for frets. XD

I used to strum with the F12 button, but I have an X-Plorer now.
