wwebigman wrote:is it normal for beta 4 to show no result stars, and where it shows your name it shows nothing. this might of already been asked if so im sorry. oh and im using my dethklok theme which is based off of k.i.d's rb2 theme.

Probably your scale for your result stars is too small - I changed the star size from treating it as text to as an image, so change the scale to something appropriate. If you're not changing any of the theme.ini values, just wait for KiD to change his.

Unfortunately, this will break positioning on older themes due to the font render and image render taking different kinds of coordinates, but I did put in a check for really small scales so at least they will show up.

With my computer now safely set on my dining room table, I have done work on a bunch of additional things. Jurgen should be completely fixed, handicaps should be working right, co-op mode scores should work, TwoChord mode handicap will not apply unless there is a three note chord in the song (though this does mean that your handicap will not show in-game unless you refresh the handicap counter after a three-note chord by pausing), assist handicaps will only apply if you are on the appropriate instrument and/or difficulty, and themers can get part images to show up on gameresults instead of text if they set the text to "$icon$". Of course, this means you will need to scale the result_part as an image and not text. Blah blah, blah.

Go team go! r993!

i think, if your playing with any handicap on it should register as a handicap as you had to set it in the options.

alot of impressive highscores, unless your cheating.

really, if you want to upload your scores but like to cheat it should be a PITA

Well it will register as soon as it does something to help you. Seems silly to penalize people for having options set wrong. If there are no three-note chords in a song, it's not like "two-note chord max" is helping them at all. If people are on easy, Easy Assist is equally redundant. The issue is that it doesn't show up in-game immediately. It will always show up in the results if it helps you.

Nearly at r1000. Is it just me that is scared by the large number of revisions (nearly twice the number of issues!)?
It's unfortunate that the star rendering is kinda broken on older themes... Would it be possible to have an option to render it as text (as it was before) that is enabled unless you specify the star scaling/positioning in the theme.ini? It should be at least possible if you did that for making result_part an image, but if it's too hard then don't mind me.
I just have a thing against breaking theme compatibility because it has the potential to make my theme list more complicated
(although keeping compatibility probably makes the code a lot more complicated than breaking it would make my list)

Well, broken positioning certainly won't make the themes unusable. Because the code completely changes the rendering setup, it could be rather difficult to put in a fallback - but I'll see what I can do.

As for the giant number of revisions, remember that every Wiki edit is a revision, and that there exist on this project certain people who are rather known for their taking 5 or 6 revisions to fix a single minor issue.

Or so I have heard... Maybe.

lol.

Wiki edits count as revisions? That explains why I can roll back a couple of revisions on my SVN and have none of the files change occasionally.
And thanks for having a look at a fallback, but seriously if it's too hard, don't bother. It is only a minor graphical issue after all.

I'm using Rock Band 2 theme with no-fail on

It also crashes in megalight and megalight GH3

Deleting fretsonfire.ini didn't fix it. It crashes with default settings no matter what the song, instrument, or difficulty
