I have a minor glitch. The sustains make the notes dissapear just before they hit the strikeline in 640x480 resolution (since it's the only res this PC can handle with everything in 2D).

Also, is there anyway you could add an option to disable them?

I was able to get the audio calibrated perfectly, but when i tried calibrating video, but it seems that it shifted the visual position of the notes AND the hitwindow, effectively being an alternative to changing the audio value.

to replicate this, pick any song, mute your speakers, and try to hit the notes when they appear perfectly in the center of the frets.
Then, drastically change the video lag, and see if anything changes at all.

the only way i could see this working is if you were to just learn to always hit early.

I'm not seeing this problem at all, it is just shifting the video position and not the Hit Window when I change The Video Delay.

Thanks

But there is another problem though. when the song starts. the audio keeps going in and out, but the notes keep going, making it come off sync terribly.

the .71 version works perfect though

if the audio is cutting out then that usually means theres a performance issue and that will make it go out of sync after a while, only time i've seen this personally was when i had my cpu maxed out from background applications while trying to play the game

can you confirm this is a consistant issue, ie play v0.75 and have the issue every time and run 71 straight away after and confirm its completely fine

yea right after i close .75 i open .71. it works perfectly. i never had that issue with .71 ever. i have no apps open in the background either.

Sorry if it has been answered somewhere but I can't search 173 pages, and by reading the readme I didn't manage to find a solution. Is there any way to use my digital drumset as a controler?
It connects via usb and the computer recognizes it as a MIDI device, though it works fine with fofix?
Thanks in advance :)

you'd need to map midi inputs to keys to get it working, i don't know personally how to set that up but a guy on our forum said he got his midi drums working by making use of a program called midi yolk

or run it through the rb3 pro midi adaptor, not sure if u can do that if u only have usb?

there is a program called bomes midi translator which allows you to emulate keystrokes from a midi signal much the same way as xpadder works with controllers.this program works fine with notepad and fofix etc but it does not work when trying to use it to play phase shift or GHWT on pc.has this been done by design or is it an unwanted side effect and would it be possible to maybe have a look into why these emulated keystrokes dont work ingame, cheers

I'll have a look when I get a chancechance.
I haven't designed anything to not be compatible however, I have an idea why this might be the case but I'll need to test it out.

Thank you for looking into this,It would be superb if you could get the emulated keystrokes working ingame it would pretty much eliminate the need for midi support.

I just run a test with Bome's MIDI Translator and I can see no problems with it.
Have you configured it correctly as it worked right away for me?

Thanks
David

Sorry for editing my post so many times but I guess that actually didn't work. Still getting big lag problems on the new releases. It seemed like it worked fine when I first tried them, but maybe I was just blinded by features :P.

OK, can you give me as much detail about the issue.
You said it was just the sustains that were laggy or everything?
Have you got the very latest version release yesterday as there have been some fixes for lag issues.
Can you confirm that the previous main release ( V0.71 ) still works fine.

Thanks

It seems most laggy on sustains which is why I originally thought it was only sustains, but it seems to happen on regular notes at random times too.
If you mean v0.75h then yes I have tried it, and yes it's still has the same problem.
v0.71 seem to work fine.

I will say I've had to run in windowed mode, in a resolution smaller then my desktop resolution since the first beta. My CPU is pretty crap, so maybe it can't handle all the new features, but I dunno.

T3HM3T4L:I've tried to sign up for Rock Band but they just won't allow me. They keep complaining I have to 'be over 18' while I've already been 18 for over half a year, and a sign up where I noted I was born in the '50s STILL GAVE ME THAT MESSAGE

So if anyone could help me get these templates, I'd very much appreciate it. I need it to edit notes and stuff for my Rock Band 2.

aander91:Sorry, but that'd be providing for minors, which is illegal.

T3HM3T4L:But I'm 18 years old... ?

aander91:Nope. Sorry.

T3HM3T4L:Nono, you're getting me wrong, I was asking how come I am still considered a minor?

aander91:Look, we can't just go out giving these things away to people who just say they're over 18 and show no proof, we'd be out of a job.

T3HM3T4L:Nevermind, I'll use EoF for it, I found the way I could use it for that.

I didn't manage to use midi yoke, it's a little chaotic  (I'll keep on searching though if I don't find another solution)

I too tried with the bome's translator and I confirm the problem. I read somewhere that Bome's translator isn't compatible with directX programs. If that's the case I guess there's not much that can be done, eh?
If you could look into this, I'd be much grateful

OK, I've just done another test. It seems that the Classic verison of Bome's MIDI Translator isn't working but the Full Version works fine.
