Fofix Hang during song 'Initializing' screen

Hello,
I have been having a problem, where after starting a song, the game sometimes hangs while in 'Initializing' stage. I am running the latest FoFix release v3.121. I was wondering whether anyone can help me debug this issue. I have had some previous experience with python, and looking for some general guidance in terms of which logs/where to look for debugging info and how one would tackle this problem.

P.S. A bit more details on the issue:
It only happens on my old P4 computer (maybe because it is too slow, and there is some synchronization issue)
The hang occurs at random, non song specific, and the game has to be killed in the taskbar

hi, what mod are you using?

i have the same problem but just with the RB mod (rev 84?)
but with the guitar hero mod i dont have that problem
but i like to play with rb mod xDD

ohh its the rb2 mod, with the rb1 mod i dont have that problem
sometimes when that happens i have to listen the sample with f3 (yellow button )
and then play the song, sometimes works xD

Hello, i'm having the same problem, it freezes at random songs during initialization, and happens a lot more frequently when using the mic... i googled al over and didnt find any solution... just finishing the damn game and hoping it doesnt freeze for at least a few songs...

if anyone can help, please do

i have the same problem.. tried heaps of things but i dont know why. i use ubuntu there is no set pattern to when it happens... just says initializing,,,,, and thats it.. screen is frozen and in have to reboot... its driving me mad,,,, any thoughts anyone>???? please

problem SOLVED... change random neck back to default or pick a neck.. random was causing it on mine.. works great now !!

having more necks makes this much less of a nuisance
