they are lepos frets i just re did made them by looking at the screenshots so we could have them in game

lepo's concept art looks nice but it's too plain

kinda like a jazzed up megalight most screens look like the next so maybe it's just a starting point

I agree with slantyr. It does look megalight-ish. But it's still a good starting point. Once there's a decent rockmeter / sp meter, and some nice ideas for stage backgrounds, I think that might make a big difference. It just needs a lot more "oomph".

That's a good idea actually.
Once I get my home internet up and running again, I might take some time out to better organize that second post and add ratings, so that people will be able to vote up what ideas they like and vote down what they don't. This is very much a community theme, after all.

What about having red SP and the meter attached to the left side of the fretboard kinda like GH5 but without the multiplier?

From memory, this has been discussed both in this thread (on the first page!) and the rockmeter ideas thread. Personally, it's my preferred option for star power equivalent. I remember trying to make something like it and running into difficulties, but I plan to try again with blazin's recent rockmeter changes.

Maybe. Not exactly like that. Like GH5 stuff with colors changed and some stuff added to it.

I'm not quite sure what you mean then.
At the most basic level, is this what you were getting at?

it would be cool to have something like a vile of fluid that reacted to the beat (looked as if it was being vibrated or shaken with the song) and maybe had a tube attached to the neck that visibly filled it with starpower

maybe have it "fill" with a shader that changes color to the beat and looks all narly :)

edit: kinda like nutty's but with a thinner slinkier fill tube, chrome tips and charp chorts candy apple red with twice pipes

Way over my head there. No idea what you're on about. But I googled it and found the Cheech and Chong reference. I think I get it now. Showing your age a bit? :tongue2:

Seriously though, I can see your idea in my head and it looks awesome. No idea how to start thinking about making a liquid animation that sloshes to the beat, but I like the idea.
I also went looking for inspiration on what the fuel pipe should look like... By doing a google image search for "vial" :wink:

i like the middle image, we'll have to work with any image we use

we're supposededy getting animation effects similar to giff support.(even if we don't) it would only take a couple of 3 to 4 frame effects to create the sloshing

and, showing my age? :scared: they play the "santa clause and his old lady" bit on the radio every christmas (if you've never heard it's worth a listen)

nevermind i'm old :)

The 3rd that death_au showed is the best one IMO


But I dont think it fits any color concept we had yet.

the original image dosen't have too.

can we pull any of this off with the 3d features? can textures be skined will shaders

otherwise i'm thinking the shader could maybe light up the vile whenever there's "juice" in there
that would lend itself to the effect

Theoretically it should be able to be done with 3D and shaders. I wouldn't know where to start though...
