Re: Fatdog Phase Shifts [v0.54]

Postby PQED » Sun Jun 06, 2010 4:22 pm

My Xplorer didn't work either (I have the PC version, but it's supposedly the same as the X360 one), so I created a log with PSCtrl and found that the <NAME>-string differed from the one found in DL.ini:

DL.ini = <NAME>Controller (Guitar Hero X-plorer )</NAME>
PSCtrl log = <NAME>Guitar Hero X-plorer (Controller)</NAME>

After I added the data to DL.ini it worked fine.

I also have GHWT PC guitar (supposedly the same as the PS3 version, with a different <NAME>-string), which I created a log for, but neither the slider nor the tilt is registering in PSCtrl.

Did you edit the name of the GHWT PC log??
I didn't think they ever released a guitar for the PC before it was recalled. . .
I just need to be sure as many people have been editing the logs and I need to make sure my database is accurate.
Thanks

OK, perfect!

I'll add this to the next release.

Thanks
David

Oh, one more thing. If it's a GHWT shouldn't it have a slider bar, XGYRO and YGYRO?? It's not listed in the profile. . .

Thanks

It does, but as I mentioned, it doesn't register in PSCtrl (much like GH3; it only works in GHWT)

My mistake; the slider registers (new log below), but the tilt does not (PSCtrl or Windows).

Edit: To clarify; there is nothing pertaining to the tilt function to be found in Windows GC config.

Thanks alot for clarifying this!

Could I ask another favour??
I'm at the moment trying to add Slider Bar Support and I'm trying to figure out exactly the values per frets. Orignally I had thought that the buttons would be in ordered axis steps and as such I could have just divided the Axis range by 5 to get the increment for each fret along the slider.
But it seems that isn't working.
Could you give me the exact axis values for each fret position on the slider. So I can try and work out how to calculate the positions.

i.e. Hold down the green fret and see what the axis vlaue the profiler is showing for just that fret. Then Red, Yellow etc. I know with the GHWT controllers this can be hard as it tends to jump arround a lot.

Thanks

Sure.
I tried to be as exact as possible:

Green: 8447
Red: 20991
Yellow: 37709
Blue: 48631
Orange: 65014

Good luck!

Will there be support for normal material maps without diffuse? Everything in my stage without a texture became white in a earlier screenshot Fatdog sent me. I made a 1x1 pixel texture of the colors I needed in the stage, and I just use them tiled as a work around for now, but things would be 50x easier the other way.

personally i think its better not to support that, stick with the 1x1 thing if you really don't want to texture properly

From looking at my code it should take the material diffuse colour from the Model. However, we've had many problems with the exporters not handling the material settings correctly and as such this might be why it's showing as white.

Thanks
