That's actually not a bad idea. It'd be good for screen recording, because you'd originally have to record one video from your webcam, one video of the gameplay, and then use your editing magic to bring it all together, while phase_shift would just do all that for you!

i dont really think so, i mean wouldnt the webcam be doing most of the work? all the game really needs is the codec to play the webcam, and if it can run videos im sure it could run a webcam (i dont have alot of wxperience so Im not 100% that Im right with this...perhaps david could verify? :P)


Well there's a difference than running from a video, because the webcam is a live stream, where a video is pre-recorded.

I don't know if that is a benefit or a disadvantage, cause i'm a noob, but whatever lol

Webcams rely purely on the CPU to process the incoming video data. A feature like that would surely cripple this game (unless you have a decent system).

but when i run my webcam my cpu runs at like 12% with like 10 tabs of iron open... i have a dualcore

It didn't work. I did everything, and it made the NewCtrlData thing, but it still tells me to profile it.
