Everything is on the way, just some things are faster than others.

As such I'm looking for some info as to how the star rating is calculated.

Any info would be great.

Thanks

Well, some of the feats in Rf-mod, Party Play, it was stolen by Activision too I think, just a bit of modification where their party play is like people can join and play, but Rf-mod one is like one controller, shared with many people. I think there are one or more of their staffs here lurking on this forum and see the progress or read any ideas of the people here and steal them. Maybe. But if they do, they sucked. I mean really.

As funny as that is, good luck getting legal action on the basis of someone stealing an idea from something that is a blatant clone of the two popular rhythm games itself.

In all honesty, did you guys patent anything? If you didnt why would you be going after Activision. I'm surprised they havent gone after you guys.

<@away_xbox> Looks like it's your lucky day Amak11 >:) Since i don't see Amak here ill choose somebody else....
* @away_xbox straps 15 sticks of TNT to Amak11's body. The display reads [58] seconds.
<@away_xbox> Diffuse the timer by cutting the correct wire. There are 14 wires. They are Green White Peenus Indigo Black Gold Grey Brown Violet Turquoise Teal Magenta Mauve and Yellow.
<Amak11> oh really
<Belisario93> hmm
<Amak11> !cutwire Peenus
<@away_xbox> ...snip....
<@away_xbox> Amak11 cut the Peenus wire. This has defused the timer on the TNT! Just try and get it off you without setting it off, ok?

Precisely.

I'm not saying it is or isn't a theft, but basing some 'legal action' on a pig in a trailer from one of the games that this whole community has been taking ideas from for years is making waves in a location I'd rather not be causing trouble in. We're damn lucky this forum hasn't been hit with C&D letters already, not to mention FoFiX.

If that was a joke, forgive me. It's just something I wanted to point out all the same.

both you guys are wrong, ps isnt cloning RB or GH, and for the record there was a freeware game of this genre long before RB and GH came, ps is obviously its own, everything about it is original from the health to the notes, as for fofix, that i am surprised about becuase fofix basically is a clone lol

EDIT:
did you change the notes? ive never notice the red on the sides of em :P lol

and i just thought of an idea that hasnt been done yet :P using webcams as backrounds lol

That's actually not a bad idea. It'd be good for screen recording, because you'd originally have to record one video from your webcam, one video of the gameplay, and then use your editing magic to bring it all together, while phase_shift would just do all that for you!

I imagine it would be pretty laggy though...

Well that isn't necessarily true that you couldn't patent something like this. because both Guitar Hero and Rock Band have patents by their respective companies, yet they've both copied off of eachother at one point or another.

i dont really think so, i mean wouldnt the webcam be doing most of the work? all the game really needs is the codec to play the webcam, and if it can run videos im sure it could run a webcam (i dont have alot of wxperience so Im not 100% that Im right with this...perhaps david could verify? :P)

I'm really glad that you guys got the Extended Sustains, Tapo's, and Open Notes in Game. When you give me the Go Ahead, I will post a Spec Sheet on how it works....
