Re: Strings on Speed
problem:
the game already detects my xplorer buttons
my xplorer apparently has yellow as blue and vice verca (yellow button triggers blue and blue triggers yellow) and when i use xpadder to make them to map them the game still detects yellow as blue and blue as yellow. while i have them mapped for them to do their correct color it holds both yellow and blue down if i press any of the the 2 buttons.
sorry if this is confusing

Re: Strings on Speed
It's still tricky to assign game controllers keys correctly so right now it's true that using xpadder is an easy solution. However, you will still need to un-assign the keys in your config.xml file since the game will continue to use your controller along with xpadder. To do so, open config.xml with the notepad, look for this line:
<j_keys fret1="0" fret2="1" fret3="2" fret4="3" fret5="4" strum1="7" strum2="254" quit="9" />
and put values that won't be used for sure:
<j_keys fret1="666" fret2="666" fret3="666" fret4="666" fret5="666" strum1="666" strum2="666" quit="666" />
<j_keys fret1="0" fret2="1" fret3="2" fret4="3" fret5="4" strum1="7" strum2="254" quit="9" />
and put values that won't be used for sure:
<j_keys fret1="666" fret2="666" fret3="666" fret4="666" fret5="666" strum1="666" strum2="666" quit="666" />
