I feel weird replying in this thread now, because I have a fear of being flamed with things along the lines of "you're only saying that because you have the most votes".
But I just wanted to agree with the fact that people should provide justification for their votes. If you really do want someone to be a mod, explain why. No more of this (candidate).vote_count++

If you have seen his posts, you don't need a reason...
But it would be because he is helpful, he's always giving advices and trying to help other people.
He almost never gets off topic and he never flames...

You're only saying that because you have the most votes. Though I don't think there's much to be said for why.

I vote ____ because they [good moderator quality].

It's all subjective, but handy as a frame of reference whether or not it's just everyone else jumping on the bandwagon.

I think that this "experiment" produced much better results than a "pick me! pick me!"-style. At least at first, there were honest opinions and constructive criticism. We got a few good names and will follow-up with another topic later this week.
