Thanks trinidude, Wiitar and Wiidrum are great.
Just a comment: the Wiidrum - GHWT Compatible application seems to have a limited ability to catch the drum hits, when you hit a pad fast (with two hands) it doesn't recognize some of the hits. However this is the best application for connecting my GHWT drumset, and i appreciate your work.

help!!
I'm very Mac illiterate and I'm trying to install the game on my sister's Mac.
I downloaded the .zip file on my pc (her mac doesn't believe in internet) and then moved it to the mac where I unzipped it. After I did that I get the Frets icon like it had installed. When I copy that into applications and try to double click it it says "Frets on Fire has encountered a fatal error and will now terminate"
I have no idea what to do. help!!
(sorry if the question it too dumb)

What version of FoF are you trying to use and what Mac and OS are you using? If it's an older Mac, maybe you're using a FoF that isn't universal.

Re: Mac Users FAQ - Helpful Information
Hi folks, recently updated to snow leopard and.... my xbox 360 guitar controller isn't working anymore. The new .08 driver from tattiebogle.net got a error when installing, so i'm stuck. Anyone else with this problem? Any idea what's wrong?
Re: Mac Users FAQ - Helpful Information
How anybody is getting FOF working in snow leopard at all is a mystery to me. Version 1.3.110 crashes on launch every time with a "Unknown typestr" error.
From the Console log, it looks like a python problem. I'm pretty sure snow leopard upgraded to python version 2.6.1 but FOF is trying to use 2.5. I'm not a python guy at all but I'm guessing the calls being made assume a 2.5 version on the mac, which is obviously not there.
At any rate, FOF needs a snow leopard fix.

Re: Mac Users FAQ - Helpful Information
If you are having trouble with the wired 360 Xplorer controller, see my post: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=43658
Or, here is what is says:
I tired both v.08 & .09 of the Tattiebogle 360 drivers with no success even though these are listed as Snow Leopard & 64-bit compatible.
The workaround is to use v.07 drivers and these instructions from the Apple Support forums (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jsp ... 0&tstart=0)
Note that the download link provided includes the .07 driver dmg and step 4 is two separate commands, one to change the directory and one sudo.
This is from user IllestFlip, toward the bottom of the first page of the thread:

This is from user IllestFlip, toward the bottom of the first page of the thread:
1. Disconnect all Xbox 360 controllers and wireless receivers.
2. Download the zip file containing the script and the disk image from http://rapidshare.com/files/274924283/3 ... nstall.zip
3. Extract the zip file somewhere.
4. Open a Terminal and run two commands:
cd /replace/this/with/the/path/to/contents/of/extracted/zip/file/ #this path probably is Downloads/360ControllerInstall
sudo sh 360ControllerInstall.sh
5. Type your administrator password when it asks you for it.
6. Wait for the installer to complete and then wait another three minutes.
7. Connect an Xbox 360 controller.
8. Open the "Xbox 360 Controllers" preference pane in System Preferences and verify that the controller(s) is(/are) recognized.
Hopefully this one will actually work...

Links that receive community approval bubble up towards #1, so the front page is constantly in motion and (hopefully) filled with fresh, interesting links.
