How do you play expert?

sorry if this is the wrong thread its the 1 that best fits my question tho... how do people play expert is there like some things i can practice i try to play expert but im kinda limited to a keyboard i got it set up to where it hits all the buttons at once now but i cant seem to get the nack of hitting the 5th button any tips? excercises or else that i can do to get better?

Practice, practice, and practice. Do easier songs then work your way up to harder songs.

If you're having trouble reaching the 5th fret, just do what I do: slide all four fingers up one fret and back down when you need green. You just have to practice a bit so that your brain gets used to new fret positions whenever you slide your hand (R becomes index finger etc).

The main thing is just practice, practice and more practice until your fingers move themselves ;)

I quess we're talking about the same thing, for example if I need to play part such as 12345432123454321... I play it as 1234,5432,1234,5432 etc... 4 up, 4 down or tap the orange if it's really fast

Using a laptop keyboard (or any keyboard with flat keys) helps.

The flatness makes sweeps easy.

I started playing FoF at expert almost immediately (once I got hang of the basic controls), and since FoF had no fail back then, that's how I learned expert. I used a keyboard to start with and it had a huge gap between F4-F5, but the technique still worked for me. I'm guessing it'll be even more effective for the OP since he has no gap.

My recommendation to people having trouble moving to expert:

Go back to Medium and play forcing yourself to use your first finger for both Green and Red, shifting your hand off of that (never using your pinky). By the time you get back up to hard you'll already be ready for expert.

also just practice moving and sliding your hands to get to oeange and you can do it
