Hi guys! I need a hand over here. When I play FoFix 3100 with my Medeli 305 an error occurs. When I hit two drum pads at a time (green + red, green + blue, even bass drum + any colour) its like I hit first one and then another. Look, for example, I wanna hit Green + Red, its like I do Green, the Red. Understand? Please, please help me as soon as anyone can. Thanks! :biggrin:

ditto :p
my mom is too selfish with our money :laugh:

to be fair, a decent electric drumset is >$1000! I would be a little selfish when the price gets that high as well!
I went and bought each piece separately: TD-8 "brains" (found a guy who's set had been in a box in the garage for 2 years), PD-100 (ebay), CY-7 (used music shop), KD-120 (ebay) etc. (I already had hardware & double bass pedal) - it's not as big a set, but the full, big set costs $1400+ (depending on how good a used deal you get) and a minimal set costs only ~$600, which is all I can afford (and I took a few extra jobs to afford that!).

If you enjoy the drums on these games, I highly recommend buying at least a FEW V-drum pieces. It won't kill your writs like plastic pads do, AND you could actually plug it into an amp and play with your buddies. honestly, if you're just trying to get halfway decent on the drums, 4 toms and 3 cymbals are a little excessive, so a minimal set really isn't bad.
honestly, I think it's a great way for me to practice timing & stamina.
I'm gonna try hooking up my V-Drums shortly, I'm so glad that FoF exists! I knew someone must have done it! gotta love those computer genius geeks.

try google? http://lotro.acasylum.com/midi/

forum thread (not trying to advertise lol): http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?t=121331

FoFiX 3.100 has support for MIDI inputs as controllers, so you won't need it if you are using 3.100 or higher.

If you are using an electronic kit I'm pretty sure there's no software that will magically allow you to use the kit as an xbox/ps3 controller. You'll have to buy an ION drum kit module or a GHWT module (recommending that because you'll be playing GWHT) and hook up the MIDI outputs to the module to convert them to xbox/ps3 controller inputs.

Don't quote me on it, but I'm pretty sure that's the only way you can get MIDI devices to work on xbox/ps3.

I think in FoFiX you can just use RTMidi.

Sorry to bring back an old thread, but just thought I'd mention that GlovePie 0.30 and maybe 0.29 support Midi Channel 10 (percussion)...now you don't even need midi-yoke or midi-ox, just copy and modify slightly the following code:

Code: Select all

midi.DeviceIn = 1
debug = midi.InDevName
midi.DefaultChannel = 10
Key.A = MapRange(midi1.csharp3, 0,1, 0,1)
Key.B = MapRange(midi1.fsharp2, 0,1, 0,1)
Key.C = MapRange(midi1.e3, 0,1, 0,1)
Key.D = MapRange(midi1.d4, 0,1, 0,1)
Key.E = MapRange(midi1.b3, 0,1, 0,1)
Key.F = MapRange(midi1.g3, 0,1, 0,1)
Key.G = MapRange(midi1.g4, 0,1, 0,1)
Key.H = MapRange(midi1.b4, 0,1, 0,1)
