Re: AlienWare Computers
Looking here: www.Alienware.co.uk/750i and assuming that you are getting all the cheapest parts possible (you havent said otherwise), then yes it would absolutely play fof to a high standard.
Give the exact specs for a more detailed answer/

Alienware is an overall pretty reliable company.
If you've ever owned a Dell, they're about as reliable as that.
Pretty low-maintainence, just needs a dusting every so often.
An Alienware will be able to handle FoF like a champ. No need to worry in that department.

Man...I could build one hell of a computer for $900.
I only spent $500 on mine, and it's pretty nice.

Re: AlienWare Computers
Can't you just get a really cheap customizable computer, and add on a ton of stuff?
I got a really nice computer for $600, maybe even better then that alienware.

Yeah pretty much. They'll give you a functional computer in a really shiny tower and they'll charge you more than twice what it's worth
If you really aren't interested in building your own computer, there are better companies out there

Aleinware is ****. You can build a better computer for less money. Especially now because they are owned by dell

Dell may not be a good manufacturer, but they are better than most out of what I've seen. Based on the computers I've used, Dells are actually quite good.
Disclaimer: I have used probably somewhere around 5 computers that have been made within the past year so the information below may be a little off
My family has this one dell desktop that's lasted us around 4-5 years now, and it's still a good computer. One thing that I like about Dell over many others is that they don't have as much useless crap installed from the factory. When my mom got a new laptop from Dell a couple weeks ago, I looked at it for a few minutes and found that the only programs that were installed were ones that came with Vista. I got an acer a little over a year ago and it had like 10 programs that were installed from the factory. And don't even get me started with HP... Overall, unless you build your own computer, Dell is the way to go IMO.
You can't really say that any one company is better performance-wise than another because they get pretty much their parts from the same companies.
So anyways, overall, if you can comfortably afford the alienware and don't want to be bothered to build a computer, go for it! I personally have wanted an alienware for years!

What!?!?!
I spent hours removing useless sh*t from a Dell computer right after it was purchased.

you sure it wasn't stuff that came with <insert Operating System here>? because the only programs I saw on my mom's Dell that she bought like 2 weeks ago were ones that I had on my Acer when I bought it...
