Feedback is better than EOF.

How?

That comment makes me really angry. Feedback is outdated and lacks a lot of features that EoF has. EoF may not look as snazzy, but it is far more useful layout when fretting.

It's not that feedback is bad. Just worse in comparison. You can still make great charts with it.

I'm very disappointed in you, JackeShan.

Don't let a thread innocently asking how to fret songs turn into a holy war over which is the best fretting software.

While the original poster should have looked around and searched first, you can be more helpful by giving a straightforward answer and kindly suggesting that he search next time before posting a new question.

freaxzibit: There are many different ways to fret songs, and two of the most popular fretting programs are FeedBack and EOF. I think most people would recommend EOF for starting out because it is much easier to learn. It also supports more FoFiX-specific features (I assume you want to fret for FoFiX since you asked in this subforum), but there are some people who prefer FeedBack. If you're not sure, try fretting a short segment of a song in each one and see which one you prefer working with.

Get EOF here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=32725
Resources for FeedBack are scattered all about the forum.

In slight defense of not having done the search, searching for "eof" yields nothing. "eof*" has to be searched to get actual results. I think this may be a limitation in how the board's word search indexing is configured.

I think it ignores search terms three letters long or less.

yes it does.. phpbb has done this to limit searchs on such things as "the" or "is" "and" etc.
