Re: FoFiX v3.1xx development thread
Does anyone experiencing "no shaders even if it is on" problem? Or am I the only one experiencing that?

Re: FoFiX v3.1xx development thread
It could be shader support not being detected correctly.
Once I get up tomorrow morning, I will commit some much-needed enhancements to the shader error handling so that it's easier to see what is wrong.

Thank you. That would be great.

Already reported in FoFiX issue 787. Feel free to star the issue.
Please, if you are going to alpha test, at least try to stay current on issues, and realise that if you post issues in the dev thread, they are very likely to be lost amongst the clutter.

Well, in this particular case, had you just checked the Updates List. You would have seen the issue.
But yes, a search of 'drums crash' would have returned a result.
As I said, feel free to star it. This will inform developers that more than 1 person has had the issue, and allow you to receive e-mails regarding its status. In the meantime, you can just roll back to a previous revision.

oFlash? Whats that? A drum overdive thingie?

Re: FoFiX v3.1xx development thread
Useless comment, what's that?
I would assume (judging from the comments in Neck.py) that it has something to do with 'Overdrive String Flash'.
In any case, Adding the line in bold to Neck.py fixes it. I would commit it myself, but do not wish to overstep my bounds, or step on anyone's toes, for that matter.
Disclaimer: This is probably more of a hack than a fix. This simply allowed me to play a song with drums, without overdrive crashing the game. I do not suggest adding this yourself. Anything you do, you do at your own risk!
Edit: Whoo, post 1,666!

Seriously... I hate driving in rain and I've had to drive back and forth to Westminster every damn night. I played frisbee at a park and my shoes were getting sucked into the grass there was so much water and my legs ended up covered in roadwater splash. And it's supposed to stay like this until next week... Come on, weather - this is supposed to be a desert.
FoFiX issue 787 should be fixed.

This new line added in r1548 to Neck.py:
creates an infinite loop, spamming my fofix.log with this:
and after about 20 times this for some reason:
Code: Select all
if self.ocount != self.part.ocount:
self.ocount = self.part.ocount

Re: FoFiX v3.1xx development thread
I have no idea if this has been said before but: When using "two key chords on" it always gives you the handicap of 90%. Can't it be modded so it would only take that 10% off when it's actually used?! Playing with 3.100 final, so no idea if it has been implemented.

This hasn't been implemented yet, but it is in the issue tracker, so it will be worked on At Some Point™
FoFiX issue 599
...I just read through that issue, and it seems that the handicap is only applied if there is a 3 note chord in the song (if there are none, this handicap is not applied). That's not the same as it being used I guess. That logic has not yet been implemented.
Does that sound correct?
