EOF has a custom grid snap feature that allows you to specify the number of positions per beat, but not per measure. So you can have something like 1/40, but not 1/39. But maybe that capability will be added?

In EOF you don't have to snap to beatlines, so in that program your songs aren't always beatsynced.

You can't fault EOF for charts that aren't beat synced, it's up to the chartist to do it correctly. People can make charts in Feedback that aren't beatsynced with the audio.

I know. I wasn't faulting the program. I like EOF and I would use it loads more if the MIDI import wasn't currently messed up.

After a full day of work I have finnaly released my first song, here it is : http://www.mediafire.com/?nmvdmdta21v
its Curses from Bullet for my Valentine (always wanted to play that one song in FoF, but couldn't find it, so I made my own)
It uses only 4 chords because I made it for my difficulty, might make a 5-chorded one some other day.
I hope u guys like it. I would like to hear some words about it if it was nice  :. Also..the syncing might be off in some spots, my mistake, first time working with Feedback.

There's got to be another way to do this?
I wanted to do it with All American Rejects - Give you hell.
But now i've read this tutorial (both parts) and it's like... WTF? No wai dude, thats way too much :glare:

Of course there are other ways... just ear fret it you want. And this is "Advanced", not for inexperienced fretters.

QFT

i still dont understand why you dont just pack in dB, you do most of the preliminary work in FL anyway... might as well do the whole thing

"Check Your Hardware: Australian Anthems" 4/20
"Check Your Hardware: Alternative" 4/20
"Check Your Hardware: Classic Beats" 2/20

Awesome tutorial. After stumbling upon this I couldn't help start charting songs. If it wasn't for every chart being off especially on drums and bass, I would have finished Sacrificed Sons over a week ago! For my first song charted the guitar track came out very nicely (good thing I had your tutorial to use).

---- EDIT ----

I have to disagree my first song that I fretted was Dream Theater's Sacrificed Sons, and I used this method. It was really easy, I hardly would consider this "advanced" considering I was able to chart a song that absurd as my very first. Either that or I catch on to things way easier than I thought.

You don't do anything in FL in this method, just look at the tab.

:) but your already using the piano roll, why re-place them in dB when you just need to rearrange them in FL?

ah well, each to their own i guess... you DO make good songs so i guess the method works well for you :D

For me it's faster to do everything in dB. And rearranging them in FL and exporting it as a mid will give you a song with lots of errors as it's taken directly from the tab.

but you have to create the BPM map in dB in any case, and i do that in FL is what i was saying

I can't find how I use slower speed on syncing. I really can't find it. It's maybe because of my English.

In feedback...and sorry off-topic

Finally edit.
I did find it. It took pretty long.
