First of all, that is a chromatic series of notes, second of all, how it sounds would all be dependent on the key of the song you were playing, and chromatic certainly wouldn't sound nice in a song say, in D Minor.

Dude -.-, you put your headpohnes on and don't give a **** about the sound your guitar makes. The feeling of playing real guitar and plastic guitar is different. Ah people always must b!tch about little things :cursing:

Well, gee, didn't realise people took things so seriously.

I never thought these words would come out of my mouth in a degrading way towards rhythm games, but if I wanted to use my bass to play a song, I would play that song on my bass. Not use some half-assed chromatic 'scale' in place of a plastic guitar.

If we are going to through guitars in here somewhere down the road, let's actually attempt to match the pitch, not use frets 1-5 as replacements for the coloured notes.

Let's say I'm playing Tool - Sober, right?

The bass line is as follows
G|--7--7--x-x-x--7--7-
D|--0--0--x-x-x--0--0-
A|--5--5--x-x-x--5--5-
D|--0--0--x-x-x--0--0-

The song is in the key of D Minor, each note for that phrasing is a D.

Here is the first problem:

I find a fretting of it here, it's medium and Expert, okay. I load it up on medium first.

The first note in FoF is

--R--R--G-G-G--R--R-

Red, red, green, green, green, red, red. Which, by your method translates to Gb/F#--Gb/F#-F-F-F--Gb/F#--Gb/F#-

Try playing that over a D Chord on bass -- nasty.

Now, on expert, we are face with an even worse problem -- chords.

Let's say the phrasing is a red, blue, orange chord? How, pray tell, does that work in the one string method you describe?

Edit: Woah, wait a second. I complain about little things? Ah, thanks Kid, I'll remember that next time you say something about hating how development has been slow lately. I suppose that time you screwed up your Rock Band 2 theme for anyone using Linux, and I mentioned it several times over the course of two months, that was just me complaining about little things? No wonder I had to bring it up 3+ times before anything was done about it.

Okay. What kind of handicap do we impose?

Naturally, one note chords make the game easier. Ah, well, you are using a real guitar, thus, you must be better.

I just don't see the logic behind it, but hey, we have options-a-plenty.
Um?

Are you using Tiger? If you are, I'm aware. If not, let me know what type of Mac you are using.

Mac users on Tiger:

Can you please try replacing your Python.framework in the Frameworks folder inside the app with the directory contained within these zip files:
Python 2.5: http://www.mediafire.com/?tnntwn0ynyg
Python 2.6: http://www.mediafire.com/?n2onjnnm0tm

I need to find out if these fix the problems so I don't keep posting up broken versions of beta 1. Please let me know if they work for you.

I fooled around a bit with the jurgen settings on mine, and he was working fine for me in single player. All jurgen logic settings worked too.
About to try multiplayer

Multiplayer works fine on mine too, hmm...

Solution to this is simple. Get a real computer. Hehe, sorry, I just couldn't resist.

jstump91 wrote:Some microphone input code has been added in r1371. [blah blah blah]

Is there a Google Code issue for this, or for a vocals enhancement in general? I'd love to add any helpful input I could, I've studied RB and RB2 part_vocals a bit. Wait, I'll just ctrl+F on the seven pages of issues.

Nope, didn't find anything. Could use an issue though, or is it just too new and experimental?

EDIT: I think I found the source of my Jurgen bug. He plays with the keyboard controller configuration just fine. But if his player profile is set up to use my X360 guitar controller (whether it's plugged in or not) he misses a million times and fails.

EDIT2: Another weird thing I noticed, there are two places to set up "Two-note chords" option. One in the "Edit controller" panel and another in the "Edit player" panel. This can get a little discombobulating. :S

Well, there's something needed to be fixed in the Midi modules/codes. Because, some old songs are not playable in FoFiX while it was playable in original FOF. It has to be the Midi codes.

Acrox, it's hard to decipher what you are saying, could you maybe, cite an example song?

I thought it was the other way around. The notes-unedited wont play nice with old FoF, because of the track order.

Hmm... Let's see. I downloaded a song from KoF named Wars Of Freedom by Sectoid. Before there were any mods for FOF(except RF, oh that's a mod too xD ), I play this song using FOF 1.2.451. The song is missing after that(actually, my computer has been stole :( ). And I downloaded it back and play it on FoFiX's latest revision. And the notes doesn't come out. After the countdown, there's only one line of the BPM. Any ideas whi is this happening?
