Re: FoFiX v3.1xx development thread
currently, if you last played a rockband song (no matter what theme) next time you return to the settlist it will be whatever you last played
i'm not agreeing with jfosheezy but i think he wants the game to automatically take him to the folder of the theme he's playing or an option to do so
there's no point in putting the songs into the theme folder
but a theme.ini option (not set by the theme maker) for default song folder to start in would fix his problem and start in whatever folder he wanted that theme to play, he'd be able to navigate away from it as it would still just be the songs folder
sorry, thinking out loud

Just a option in the settings, theme strict songs on/off, if theme = gh2 -> show only songs that have "icon = gh2" in the song.ini and that's that. Simple as hell.

This is a more reasonable idea - I would consider something like this, but the program already remembers what folder you're in, so it doesn't seem that much to ask someone to navigate the folder to the folder of the theme they are using...
And Kid's idea was something to code, not something that already exists.

Re: FoFiX v3.1xx development thread
i tend to agree,
i personally wouldn't like having to navigate away from a certain folder everytime the game starts
edit: meaning wouldn't use the setting

The original FoF underneath it all is still 1.2.451 - at this point we are a fork, not a mod, so that's how it will be (though we could adapt stuff from future FoF versions, trying to upgrade the base FoF is largely meaningless). You still need to download a full copy of FoFiX 3.100/3.120b1 even if you have FoF 1.2.451, though.
Slantyr - the game remembers it every time it starts. You only have to change it when you change your theme. ...if you really want to pretend you don't have all the other songs.

Re: FoFiX v3.1xx development thread
When running either of trinidude2's 3.120beta packages, I get this error:
I'm running 10.5.6 and the regular 3.100 package works fine. I assume I'm just missing something that I didn't download?
Code: Select all
error: Failed loading /opt/local/lib/libvorbisfile.dylib: dlopen(/opt/local/lib/libvorbisfile.dylib, 2): image not found

Re: FoFiX v3.1xx development thread
Yeah, FoFiX was built on 1.2.451 if you trace it back, but there has also been quite a bit of code "borrowed" from 1.3.110 as well (removing the Amanith/PyAmanith dependency and some tidy up of the theme settings code, if I remember correctly). So in a way, it's kinda both...

Re: FoFiX v3.1xx development thread
Hey guys.
I've downloaded "3.100 Final to 3.120~beta1 Patch for Windows with python 2.6 and pyopengl 3.x", and replaced the files of my 3.100 Final with these patch. When I execute FretsOnFire.exe an error message appears: See the logfile ________ for details"
FretsOnFire.exe.log says:
Ok, so i've downloaded 3.100 Final again, and downloaded the 3.120 Beta Patch installer. When i click upgrade, it says that it's not FoFiX 3.100 Final, and it will probably make the game crash. But it IS 3.100 Final, i've just downloaded the .rar from GoogleCode.
It's weird. Anyone knows why is this happening? Thanks in advance.

vBPM is broken. Tempo change has no effect on neck speed. My favorite setting is BPM 100%. Did not try other settings like BPM+Difficulty, Percentage, etc.
Thank you. Apparently not many people notice VBPM. Now I know to come to you for testing - this weekend I'll take another look at the new BPM event handling code and see what could be wrong.
