@Bowzerk, the only problem I've encountered with SoS is that with a guitar controller, when you hit yellow, it holds down yellow and blue, and vice versa for blue. It's probably just my problem :P I'll see what I can do.
Also, online play is still buggy. Venom and I had a hell of a time trying to play last night. He could see my server but couldn't connect, and I could see his but couldn't connect when I had him host. It's weird. My firewall is turned off.
Thanks for the feedback, maybe the your problem with the controller is caused by assigning the same button to two different frets. Something like this:
<j_keys fret1="
0" fret2="
0" fret3="2" fret4="3" fret5="4" strum1="5" strum2="6" quit="7" />
(fret1 and fret 2 are both assigned to button 0 on the controller)
About your connection problems. I just tested it again and was able to connect at the first attempt. I'm pretty sure you guys still have a problem with a blocked port. (Your router could still block a port even after you have disabled your firewall)
You can test if your port is blocked:
- Host a game in SoS
- Go to
http://www.canyouseeme.org/ and enter the port you used in SoS
- If your port is open it will say something like this
Success: I can see your service on 132.23.32.76 on port (27349). This means other players should be able to connect to your game. If it says this and other players still cannot connect to your game then you are right and there really is a bug in SoS.
- If it says
Error: I could not see your service on 132.23.32.76 on port (27349) something is still blocking your port, meaning nobody can connect to your game.
