After you select the folder, where your songs are, you need to select "Accept Folder" and then just press "Esc" until you reach the main menu. Have you done this?

Hope it helped...

jstump91 wrote:I am now building and uploading the beta 4 Windows installer.

---- EDIT ----

FoFiX v3.100 beta 3 to v3.100 beta 4 Patch.exe

Thanks for that installer. I was needing it...I guess.

I meant "I guess" because I'm a little afraid of putting up this new Beta because of this:

Typhus wrote:Somewhere between beta 3 release and the latest release something went wrong. Here's my issues (that I don't have on Beta 3):

-> On GH based (I've tested it on GH Metallica by K.I.D and World Tour by gamexprt) themes, the game crashes when I try to play Bass*
-> RB based themes do not apply the bassgroove neck although it shows the bass groove is on

So...anybody has this issues also? It's like you say beta 4 solves this issues but I have r965** (alpha tester) and still have this issues...

Until a beta 4 installer comes out i can't test it, but if I have r965**, shouldn't this be already solved?

Thanks for your help (and patience).

Hasta!

* -> It's when I try to play, period. The games crashes on both themes. The only one that doesn't completely crash is the Worldrave's GH3 Theme. On that one I noticed that FoFix became non-responsive, for about 500msec, but he "awakes" by itself and we are able to, at least, see the fretboard but it's not palyable.

** -> Now I have r968 and it's the same thing.

Because of this, I don't know if it's not better just to stick around with the beta 3. It's not so good looking but at least it doesn't have this issues.

Can you guys give me an opinion? You see, according to this post:

akedrou wrote:Fixed beta 4 bugs:
Crash on GH3 themes with no halfdots
Crash on RB themes with small 1x mult disabled
Crash on bass groove in RB themes

That leaves two known beta 4 bugs:
BRE's are still really glitchy graphically.
2-line lyric mode does not display.

I should be able to play on beta 4 (which is r960) without this issues, but, if I have r968 (alpha), shouldn't this be already solved?

I would appreciate some help.

Thank you all for all your efforts and patience.

Hasta!

P.S. - FoFix RULEZ!!

Make sure that the folder that you want to choose is called songs. If it's not you won't get the "Accept folder" item, and you'll be stuck navigating folders uintill you exit by pressing Esc I guess.

Ok, I've applied Beta 4 and the issues on the themes I've mentioned before persists (like I expected).

Until this is solved I'll play the with RB2 Theme. No big deal.

BUT there is still the "no groove bass neck" issue.

Hope you guys can fix this soon.

Thanks!

This might sound like a stupid question (and most likely is).. but.. what exactly is 'Effects Save SP'? I originally thought it was the whammy bar granting that little bit extra SP on sustains, but.. no matter if I have that setting turned on or off, the whammy grants me extra SP. So.. now I have no idea what it refers to. I even went back and tried it with beta2 (my only other install, really) just to make sure and had the same result there.

I got this super **** annoying bug where if any song I have has difficulty ratings in the ini, I can't select it. I checked and it has nothing to do with the labels, just the .ini files. I'm using the latest latest version of MFH and the latest RB2 theme.

try this, maybe you just need the bassgrove mult, put this in the main folder of gh themes (will not look good in wt themes)

then there is something wrong with the ini. one the the four diff lines is wrong maybe after the = there is no numbers. it needs at least a zero. diff_guitar = is wrong it must be diff_guitar = 0 for example

you can copy the four lines from a ini that is working and edit the numbers.

The bug with hitting freestyle BRE notes causing white squares to flash everywhere.... does anyone know what revision that started in?? I'm going nuts trying to track that down....

The hell? I thought we could have no number, and thus have the "N/A" be there instead of a difficulty rating.

Or do you do that by not having the diff_instrumentnotcharted there at all?

edit:

yup that's it. God damn that sucks. I have a bunch of **** up .inis out there now. Could you possibly make it so that having = (nothing) makes N/A as well instead of having this error?

I think it might have been the GuitarScene.py optimizations, but do not quote me on that.

I'd do some svn -r### until I found it, but my girlfriend is watching house, so no outside noises. >_<

Edit: Make that Barack Obaba Address, b!tches cancelled house. Dammit. Ah well, I voted for him, so it's my own fault.

You're close - that setting slows down the drain rate during star power, giving that little bit extra.

r969? That will fix the bass groove, and should fix high scores showing up in the song choosing screen.

Typhus: not sure what the problem you're describing is. Do you have a log file from the newest alpha?

Lysdestic: Pretty aggressive speech though... Even if he hasn't quite found the TV camera with his eyes. It's kind of House-like.

@Akedrou: Thanks for the Bass Groove fix, that's been bugging me.

Kudos for explaining Whammy saves SP, too. On that note, shouldn't that be in the cheats menu? I had that on (Thinking it helped you collect SP) and it called me a cheater, but it wasn't in the cheats menu. I turned it off, as I don't like using whammy during overdrive anyway, I simply use the whammy to gain more.

In regards to the Obama love, see PM.

FoFiX issue 550 is fixed in r970. Still not really sure what got screwed up (or how), but I re-copied and adapted the working freestyle code from the drum object and it's fine again.

Now, to create a new issue for why BRE "success" is no longer being detected. WTF...
