It always has worked on GNU/Linux, and I have always tested it on GNU/Linux as well as Windows. (Mac OS X is another story, but it probably works there too.)

(Ubuntu's libsndobj package has a linking bug preventing the shared library from working, which can be worked around by statically linking libsndobj when building pitchbend.)

Do I have to compile it or is there a package?

"Noteable"? That kinda strikes me as an understatement, being some of the most requested features since drums were added way back in Alarian.
Now I just can't wait to get some free time and thoroughly test some of this. I kinda feel like I've been neglecting my alpha tester duties/privilege

Yes we need to all focus on thoroughly testing everything new, our next step should be to polish all the new features to perfection until we can get a final release out. I feel we should hold out on adding anything else until we get the final out.

totally agree, but there's a whole crew on this isn't there? maybe you guys (the uber awsome coders) could take turns and someone gets the debug spot for a week. thusly taking some wieght off of fingers :)

edit: this would work in many ways because everyone solves problems differently

Oops... 3.100 b1 hangs at the "Preparing..." screen. Even with a fresh ini. First time I see this problem. Anyone?

First freezing issue I have ever had....

Postby KillerQ » Sun Jan 11, 2009 10:21 pm

Hey all,

It figures - I have been using the new versions of FoF all along the way and never had a single issue; and as luck would have it, I can't get the new 3.1 to run. it freezes at the song loading screen.

I even deleted everything, installed 3.030, then installed the 3.1 patch directly over it.

I tried to play without changing any stock settings:

Here's the log file:

That's weird. I got no problem at all. Hmmm... Are you playing a multi-track song? If so, wait a little longer. Be patient.
