Please help me with making a mod!!

can someone plz find a way to make it easier to make mods instead of just copy-pasting another mod, then editing the files in that folder? (a program would also be appreciated!)

i dont wanna sound mean... because i was new here once recently too, but that's a very dumb question....

there's stickies, and tutorials and all sorts of things, and there's the WIP section....

but on the other hand, a great program would be GIMP... or Ink Scape

I don't see why you'd need a program. That's what I do, just take the theme/mod, edit the images/use the existing images as a base for a new image, and after about 7-8 days of work I'm done. You can click on my sig to see all the work I've done doing it that way. Most of the time I get images off of google then I slap it together to get something that's somewhat appealing to the eyes.

Pretty much all the good themes (and even most of the crap ones ) are done by the copy-paste-modify method. That's how I make my themes, too.
There was a thread around that had some template images (basically just boxes telling you where to put stuff) but it seems to have gotten buried...
