Real guitar battle

I don't know how many people would participate or be able to participate but here is what we're going to do (if we can.)

Sometime in January (I haven't set a date yet due to the fact that I don't know how many people would do this), we will record our playing on video, or just audio, and see how well we play this song. You can even add your own ornaments or modify it a bit to your own taste in guitar playing, without killing the song.

To be honest you probably should have picked a different song.
Im not sure how many people here have finger nails filed off into picks.

This song isn't exactly the best choice. Really, no song is. How this should be done is everyone does whatever song they want. They are then rated on difficulty of the song and how well it was play. With this system, an easy song played perfectly would score higher than someone playing a difficult song sloppily.

YOU DON'T NEED LONG FINGER NAILS TO DO THIS SONG.

I can now play about 98% of the song and I don't have long fingernails. If you want long fingernails, just use acrylic.

We could do the compose your own song if nobody wants to do this (thinks it's too hard )

I had a hell of a time learning it, and I'm glad im almost finished with it. I was just seeing if anybody else would be able to learn it really.

I'm in the middle of doing two songs, i'll post them up later when I can record with the other guitarist is in it. I'm helping write parts for every instrument except bass.

I would definitely compete if we did a "your own works" competition. I have something I can use for my drums and I'll have a guitar soon, so it would be good with me (just put the deadline until near the end of February)
