Xbox360 GHWT kit and FoF? Please help a nubie!

Postby Tarlach » Wed Nov 05, 2008 11:37 am

I recently found out about FoF and now my wife and I play multiplayer almost every night :oldwink: I now have three keyboards plugged into my PC permanently

I would love to get a couple of guitar controllers (and drums) and the launch of GHWT seems a perfect time to spend some money.

So my question is:

Can I use two wireless GHWT guitars and drums with FoF? I have an Xbox 360 and I do realise that I have to get the Xbox wireless receiver to get the signal into the PC.
Is anyone using this setup? Are there any issues with the new guitars or having two wireless ones at once? Is it simple to get the wireless controllers mapped to FoF?

The prices of guitar controllers in Australia are terrible, so I can't just buy two cheap wired controllers. The GHWT gear is about the same price.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :woot:

Sorry, but is that IS working or ISN'T working?

Was the guitar easy to set up for FoF?

Anyone else using 360 GHWT controllers for FoF?

it should work fine if you get the wi vesions of the instuments then you will need glovepie and a script. but i think the xbox 360 controllers should be plug and play.

Not if they are wireless. You may need a Xbox 360 Wireless Controller USB thingy. Saw one at Best Buy once, it was $20. If you sync it to that, they it works the same as a wired X-Plorer. I am going to do this soon as well.

I've tried hooking up the wii guitar hero world tour guitar using glovepie but there are no scripts that currently support it. It's not the same as GHIII guitar.

you all seem to forget that not everyone owns a wii and even if the diddnt and WANTED to use wii istruments they would have to buy wii controls as well as the instruments...

Yes the world tour instruments are plug and play with a XBOX 360 Windows wireless reciever... as for if the work with only one reciever i dont know... you may have to buy 2 for when your playing multiplayer... but if when you buy one it DOESNT work for multiple instruments... at least you can play world tour while waiting to buy another hey?

YES! IT WORKS GREAT!!

Just not the slider...

Just configure the keys in xpadder (12435, backspace=up, shift=down) It works!

Doesn't the reciever assign four channels as the Xbox 360 does?

I assumed that a single reciever would do the job...

*EDIT

just looked on amazon.com and read:

"Use up to four Wireless Controllers and four Wireless Headsets simultaneously with one Wireless Gaming Receiver"
