How to Put new keys and notes on FOF?

I have searched around, and it looks like most of you have either Windows XP or Macs, but I have a vista and are wondering what I do with the new keys and notes, open it and extract it somewhere, or save it to somewhere? Thanks if you can tell me or give a tutorial.

I want to change how the notes look, but note I have the newest version of FoF only.
If you have version 1.2.512, then don't, it's full of bugs. Get v. 1.2.451 or Alarian mod, or RF mod. I don't even know if you can change the notes in the base FOF. If you'd have MFH-Alarian Mod, then it's easy: just replace the file notes.png, found in themes folder with your custom notes. Or just download any theme for Alarian, there's plenty of them on this forum
Ok, So alarian mod is a version of FoF? Or do I have to put that on the base game? Secondly, If I should just get version 1.2.451 do you know any good notes or keys I should try and get? cause I kind of want the Guitar Hero or Rock Band Keys and Notes. The normal Version Of Keys Suck.

Definitely get MFH-Alarian Mod. It is totally customizable in everyway and improves FOF tenfold.

Get the Megalight version, and then download whatever theme you want, Guitar Hero 1,2, or 3, Rock Band 1 or 2 and place in the themes folder.
