This mod is obviously one of the best. Loving every minute of it.

Edit: Turning failing off doesn't count in Career mode. Man I'm stupid.

The encore with "unlock_require = gh2_1" would then only unlock after songs with ids "gh2_1.x" have been completed (in this example, after "gh2_1.1", "gh2_1.2", "gh2_1.3", "gh2_1.4", and "gh2_1.5").

It'd allow us to have the songs correctly sorted within each tier (since they're currently ordered by their unlock_ids, then by their name IINM), while at the same time giving us more flexibility with the encores (e.g. an encore with "unlock_require = gh2_1" would unlock only after completion of every song with unlock_id set to "gh2_1.whatever", and an encore with "unlock_require = gh2_1.2" would only unlock after the song with "unlock_id = gh2_1.2" has been completed).

Why? The game sorts by name, so add a number + period in front of the name. Then the game automatically filters out the sorting numbers when displaying the song names. So, I ask again, why? This is unnecessary complication - unless there's another reason for it that I'm not seeing.

And yes, I'm still taking a break...

edit: what the hell is ghmidimap.txt used for? I don't think it has any bearing on the actual game :)

It would be great to sort to careers with without having to add the number to the actuall title! :D

I really love having a title defined as a title (title+nr=/=title). But then again it's not sorted like this anymore. I really would like tos ee some sort of way to force sorting. Like when you're releasing a full album and want the songs to be in track order, but keep the naming the way it should be (I might be alone in using symlinks in my songs folder to keep some sanity, but in any case this totally screws up the sorting like hell!).

I think it's quite noticable that I'm really REALLY against the altering the titles in the way it's done now. If there really is a must to include the song number in the track list then it should be done by the game not by the ini. Just my opinion. I hope I'm not alone with it..

It's not like I dislike sleeping, I really do like it to be honest. It's the whole wake up/go to sleep business I don't like.

.... what is the difference? Either way, you have to edit the song.ini of each song -- either way, the song name does NOT show up with the sorting numbers displayed -- I'm not adding this to the To Do list, as it seems pointless to me to reproduce functionality that already exists.

Everything you are "requesting" already exists. I do not see the problem. My careers are sorted correctly, everyone needs to stop automatically thinking that every little problem they see is because of something I did wrong, and not something the song or career creator left out.

Booya! I got .PNG files to work so now you no longer have to rename them to lowercase!

Works fine for me. Remember it's only a patch and you should install it over your 3.0 install.

And please everyone, if you use the Career Creator and it messes something up, or a feature is missing you would like to see added. Don't hesitate to msg me. Just keep it off the main thread.

:)

I will be working on it actively soon enough. Going through some new training at work recently and it's been occupying much of my time.

Um, what exactly did you fix with the failed screen again? That is LITERALLY the EXACT same file. I'm confused ??? Same filesize, same exact even zoomed in while flipping back and forth.
I only removed the stray pixel at the left of the screen, that is 50% darker than it should. :D

Most of the times you won't notice it in-game (it's more noticeable on some backgrounds, with a low resolution, on a big screen), and it's not a "show-stopper" glitch, but as we're both (apparently) suffering from OCD, concerning details, I said to myself "hey, why not fixing a tiny detail that nobody but me would notice?" :p

Here's a screenshot :

I know, I should consult a professional.

The sorting number is not filtered-out on certain screens, though (e.g. : it is displayed on the difficulty/part select screen).
But again, that was only a suggestion...

Sorry I'm not trying to say that you're doing anything wrong. This relies on the fact that the song.ini paramters are handling the career mode rather than the titles.ini. I'm quite confident I'm not alone on thinking that the whole career mode should be handled with the titles.ini.
As I see it the song.ini should handle the song while the title.ini should handle the handlingin of songs. I'm sorry if I'm making a big scene but things like these should be discussed...

Also I'm not sure if you understood what I meant, being able to force sorting that is not dependent by "way of sorting", is a nifty feature in my eyes. If nothing else it would make things cleaner.

I just downloaded this and it replaced "Quickplay" with "Solo Tour", so I have Career and Solo Tour
IMO it would be awesome if some of this text could be customised for different themes (with appropriate defaults, of course). But it's not a big deal.

By the way, Blazin, does that patch include evilinux's fixes as well?
Also, the version string wasn't updated. It still says 3.005
