If you mean the yellow and blue drums, those only go up and down. I need to pause in the game, and I need to go left and right.

Can that MIDI/RB Sections option be switched "Off" and still activate Solo's and such? Or no?

It would be great if the Solo's still activated without generating the scrolling text (for lag purposes).

Love the partial grey scoring system MFH... Looks great!

Let's hope this doesn't sound like a suggestion ( :;): ) : IMO, "Standard"/"Normal" option for "Animated Stage" should be changed to "Off" instead, as it'd seem more logical.

Myfingershurt, here's the latest Full Release of my Official Rock Band 2 Theme 1.1 for you to add to your v3.000 Full Release. Don't want you to waste your time searching for all the latest stuff.

I've seen you saying you like archives more, so it's not an installer. Plain old RAR archive with Maximum Compression.

Download Link:
Image Full Release (WinRAR archive)- updated Sept. 21, 2008 (RapidShare host; 112 MB)
Mirror Link:
Image Full Release (WinRAR archive) - updated Sept. 21, 2008 (MegaUpload host; 112 MB)
Both compatible with Linux / Mac OS

It contains:
* Theme Full Release
* Fixed and patched with all the latest stuff (completely up to date)
* Fully compatible with MFH-Alarian Mod v2.995
* All the main menu songs
* All the background stages
* Theme folder name already is "Rock Band 2"

If you are willing to add the people who made this theme to credits, here they are:

death_au - additional artwork and ideas

Speaking of which...
++Add an oldschool Frets on Fire theme to full release
++Create a minimal game download with only the oldschool FoF theme

Do you mean my oldschool theme? If so, I'd really like someone to help out with the 3D notes for that theme. I need an bass drum note (open.dae) and some small fixes for the notes (both the original and FoF ones) detail post

Also, for a minimal download, wouldn't you be better off with something like blazingamer's megalight theme? That way you can keep the download small. Perhaps even include an ini with all the "recommended settings for lag" already set... Just an idea.

I second that.
The minimal download should have blazingamer's megalight theme instead.

Anybody thought of a "replay functionality" so it records your play and plays back (like Jurgen) so recording sessions with eg. Fraps or Gamecam becomes alot better?

I know, I know, no requests atm. Forgive me! :)

Yes.

BlackJack, remember that an animated stage could just be a slow rotation of background images (as was the original concept) - that's why that "Standard" option is there, to allow that. And there is already an option to disable stage rotation, which forces static imagery from this same folder.

death_au, what's wrong with your oldschool FoF theme? For one, we already have the open.dae and star.dae that Blazingamer created if you're concerned about 3d notes. The whole point of the minimal package was to create a release that was as much like original FoF as possible.... but I'll look at the megalight theme instead.

ugo, thank you for the non-installer archive.

By the way, whoever is expecting me to code a complete gameplay / input recording system in FoF just so you don't have to download FRAPS.... don't hold your breath.

edit: Bass drum note rendering order has been fixed, works great:
++Ensured that bass drum notes are always rendered before other drum notes, so the bass drum notes don't obscure them - SS
