im a n00b here and im wondering if there is a way to adjust how late or early you want to hit the notes? ive been having trouble timing my hit on the notes and was wondering if there'd be some sort of patch that would do so, kind of like the settings mode in Newgrounds' 'Flash Hero'?

so if i change the a/v delay, will it be about the same for every song i play or will i have to make small adjustments each time i choose a different song?

it will be the same on all your songs. you can set the master A/V delay in the settings menu. that just de-syncs your audio and video so they dont play at the same time. but if you need to you can set a delay in each individual song.ini file
