I use a 360 les paul with with a wireless gaming receiver.

Im pretty sure that any rb guitar would work as long as you have the right connectors, like ps2 to usb.

Sorry, I should have specified it was a 360 guitar. Do they come with USB wireless receivers? If not, how am I going to get the PC to receive the guitar signal?

You need to buy one of these
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360wirelessgamingreceiver/

you plug it in, install it, and connect your controller

then setup your keys with xpadder, and voila. it works

Hmm, alright, thanks for the help. I was just considering buying one, but I am not gonna shell out an extra 20 bucks just so I can play wireless. I'll just by a X-plorer. They're cheaper anyways.

You need to get a Microsoft Wireless Receiver... I need to get one as well. It's for picking up wireless signals from the Xbox 360 controller but it works for the wireless Xbox guitar's as well. Here's one for example: http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Wi....0HZFCT2

Anyway I'm finally using a guitar myself... sick of the damn keyboard.

360 RB Strat for now but I also have a 360 wireless Les Paul sitting until I get the receiver for it (I prefer to use it because I hate the strat). Only using the strat because it's wired.

You need a PS2 to USB adapter.
Here:

This is the best one, there are cheaper ones but They're's no garuntee they work. My freind got a PS2 to USB adapter that had a second delay between the button being pressed the computer reads it.

I use a good ol' Black SG from GH1. I like the clicky strum bar, and not-so-clicky frets.

I use a clear-blue PS2-to-USB adapter, its a 2-port adapter and it's shaped like a wedge with rounded corners. It doesn't recognize the whammy bar, though. Everything else works great, though. I use it with everything - Dual-analog pads for Everyday Shooter and Grid Wars, I got an arcade-grade DDR dance mat I use for StepMania (oddly enough, the USB connector it has doesn't seem to be recognized, but the PS2 Controller plug wired through the converter works fine...).

My plans for FoF include using my dance pad as a Star-power Stomp box, since I don't think I'll be able to use the tilt sensor, and I don't like using the select button to activate it.

I have yet to try my Wii RB controller with FoF. Has anyone had any success with that? What about the new Mad Catz third-party guitars? The bass looks pretty damn cool (the split strum bar should make my bassist girlfriend happy...)

Edit: Just plugged the wireless adapter into a spare USB port, and lo and behold, the Wii RB guitar shows up just as it should. I hate the strum bar though, and I probably won't use it unless I modify it to my liking. I doubt that using the Wii RB Drum kit will be any more difficult.
