First re-read the post. Secondly, it doesnt matter what you set it to as long as your Frets on Fire key settings reflect that. Meaning you can set your upstrum on your guitar to "D" using x-padder, as long as in FoF you set your upstrum to D (and also as long as D is not mapped to another function.), or F or return or whatever you want.

-Edit- (for post below this one)
Figure WTF does that post accomplish? You are just spamming, and bieng ingrateful. Sorry some people do not have there entire lives to devote to helping ingrates like you. If you don't have anything helpful to post do not post at all.

lol... I haven't had much time lately to even play the game. However, after many frustrating hours I finally have a teaser screenshot from my latest experiment...

edit: it will take me some time to catch up with all that I've missed, but please everyone be patient and stop with the "suggestions" already would ya? Has anyone taken a moment to look at how LONG my to do list is?

Okay, one thing I think should really be added to this, necks do not need to be named Neck_something, it should just load all the images in the neck folder then scale it to 256x256. That's one of the biggest things that has bugged me, because if we got rid of that then we could easily add necks and people wouldn't have to ask, "How do I add a neck?" or "I added a neck and it's not showing up in game, how do I fix it?"

Yes.

People please, no more suggestions. I intend to do pretty much everything you are suggesting, it is getting really old having to add it all to the To Do list to satisfy everybody.

edit:
@myfingershurt

can you PLEASE try adding code like i describe in this post here: https://www.fretsonfire.org/cgi-bin....y236626
im a strummer. i hardly ever do hammer on or pull offs. and it works perfectly fine in both guitar hero and rock band. even with turning the ho/pu system off it just doesnt work. im pretty sure this may be the main problem with FOF not working with fast strumming. can you at least give it a test version? like adding it as a switch, defaulting to off. just so i and others can turn it on and test it?

thanks a lot.

No... I've got too much to do already.

I have an idea for this mod but wouldn't know where to start. The idea is this, when FOF reads the song.ini it gets the artist tag and name tag. I've also seen that if there is a tag for frets it is displayed in parentheses. Is there anyway for it to read the year tag and display this in parentheses as well?
