Case Closed and Helsing, that is it.
If you can read this then you've gone too far.

Watch all the ones that are Very Good and up.

Edit: And watch Death Note, Ergo Proxy, Gungrave, Black Lagoon, Otogi Zoshi, and Wolfs Rain.

^Those ones arn't on my anime list because I've only partially watched them.

Never heard of Samurai X, but I'll watch that since it's above cowboy be-bop (which was awesome, btw).

Anyone ever see how Inuyasha ended? I stopped at like ep. 153 or something.

I heard the ending was unconclusive and sucked balls. I don't like the Inuyasha TV series anyway.

It's still not over.

My all time favorite has to be Paranoia Agent.

Death Note and FLCL are the other main ones.

I hope your talking about Hellsing Ultimate. Gonzo messed up the TV series by leaving the first halfs plot unconcluded and then inserting a mediocre second plot.

lol Helsing was too short for me. I looked at it as more of a miniseries than an anime...but yeah, the TV series was f***ed up.

SERIAL EXPERIMENTS: LAIN! good grief, haven't any of you seen that show? it's the best i've ever seen - i'd rank it higher than Death Note (which is the second best i've seen). i'd also recommend Ergo Proxy and Noein: To Your Other Self (although i've not seen the entirety of either of those).

incidentally, (semi hijack warning) have any of you seen La Portrait De Petite Cossette? i've been told i'd like that one, and i'm kinda curious about whether i should watch it after death note (time's kinda limited due to high school, you know?)

I have seen 8-9 episodes of it. It was so incredibly boring.

well, it's not exactly an action-oriented show.

and anyway, i can't accuse you of having no taste in anime (which i would otherwise do) since i read through that list of yours, and you even have Nausicaa on there :p

An anime doesn't have to be antion-oriented for me to enjoy it (I enjoyed "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" and many other non-action animes). It's just that Lains mystery element didn't interest me enough to save me from its REALLY sluggish pace.
