Yes, I'm hoping the PS2 version is easier to figure out.

The boss battles are hard to play through completely because the boss attacks you. I'll see what I can do. Gonna record a bunch of songs tonight and just youtube them all.

I am in possession of the PS2 version.

I have never fiddled with PS2 games before, so I will need someone to walk me through the process of getting the songs out of the rest of the game.

EDIT: I need to go to school in roughly 10 minutes, so this will have to wait until about 4:00 PM Central Standard Time.

Ps2 version Gh3 looks like use little different format , music files looks like in format MSV [ MSV: multi-stream VAG (mono sounds) ] but dont know where find notes , no mid files anymore.

Can you upload all files from one song, like Dr Zaius did with the X-Box version?

Great, at least the sound files on the PS2 version are not encrypted!

The ISF file only contains 3 preview sound chunks (a very short from the beginning, a longer one from the beginning, and one from the end? The last one doesn't deliver a correct MSV header, therefore I don't even know its name), nothing of importance.

The IMF file contains:
2 guitar sound chunks from the beginning
2 song sound chunks from the beginning
1 rhythm chunk from the beginning
1 14-minute-track that is called rhythm, but switches between guitar, song and rhythm
5 chunks of data that are no VAG sound files

For the big track I'm quite sure there's some tool that can read it correctly, or it should not be too difficult to split it into the three tracks it should be (and that those add up to be the complete song). Is there a tool available at least to read out those MSV files (I extracted the VAGs manually), or do we have to write one?

For the data chunks ... well, they are no MIDI files. And they are no VAG sound files like the rest, though their structure resembles them (which in turn means that they are probably not encrypted, too!).
They might be the key to our MIDIs. I'm confident someone can handle this soon (though I know the work I've done so far could possibly be done in two seconds if I had had the right tools).

I've uploaded the VAG files (google MFAudio to play / convert them, or tell me a better tool ;)), and of course those data chunks (plus one file where I merged all data chunks together, minus the 0-Bits at their ends) on Rapidshare.

Oh, and thanks cama for providing the IMF and ISF files (thanks to Dr Zaius, too, of course, though "his" XEN files didn't help that much - they ARE encrypted).
