BUMP

FoF needs more game modes, so I had an idea and decided I wanted to post it here.

(Game mode needs a name):

Players: 2-4
Instrument: Anything except vocals
Gameplay: All players must pick the same instrument, but can pick whatever difficulty they want. The idea of the game is to try to Full Combo the song. You lose when you break your combo more than 5 times in the song. If none of the players breaks their combo 5 times, the winner is decided by the highest note streak. If all of the players have the same highest note streak, then the player with the highest score wins.

That sounds great :D

with new instrument classes, new game modes, official skins, Fofix will fast become a stand out.

Then rather than decide by the highest note streak, decide by the fewest notes missed.

Different battle attacks!

Here's the existing attacks:

Broken String: Breaks one of the opponent's fret buttons. The opponent must press the fret button until it is "fixed".
Amp Overload: Makes the opponent's fretboard and notes harder to see.
Mines: Adds fake grey mines to the opponent's board that blow up the opponent's rock meter.
Difficulty Up: Makes the opponent play on the next difficulty up.
Double Notes: Makes the opponent have to play his next notes as double notes.
Lefty/Righty Flip: Makes the opponent's board switch from righty to lefty or vice versa.
Whammy Bar: Makes the opponent's frets have break and have to be readjusted down with the whammy bar.
Power-Up Steal: Steals the opponent's current powerup.

Barter Box (Mario Party idea): Swaps your items with the opponent's. If the opponent has none, then you lose all of your items.
Performance Mode: Makes the opponent play without being able to see notes for a very short time.
Hyperspeed: Makes the opponent play on hyperspeed, 3 levels above their current level (hyperspeed 3 turns into hyperspeed 6 etc.)
Delay: The opponent's notes move off by 50 milliseconds, causing "lag".
Warp: The opponent's board starts warping and bending.
Overdrive: Like the opposite of Star Power...your opponent loses more when missing notes, and gains little from hitting notes.

Fast Forward: You and the opponent play the song at double speed for a short time.
Slow Motion: You and the opponent play the song at half speed for a short time.
Rewind: The song rewinds 5 seconds.

Fix: Your fretboard returns to normal of any abnormalities.
Star Power (Yes, as a power up): Like regular Star Power...You gain more for hitting notes and lose less for missing notes.

Different game modes!

Hot Potato (for 2 or more players, preferably 4): One person starts with the hot potato. The hot potato has it's own rock meter and the person with it contributes to that rock meter. Miss notes as the hot potato and the meter goes down. Miss notes as someone else and the meter goes back up. Survive your section and the hot potato moves to another person. If the meter is depleted, the person with the hot potato is eliminated.

Garbage Mode (for 1 player): You must survive a series of battle attacks used against you during the song.

Leader (for 2 or more players): One person is assigned the leader, and selects a section of any song. The leader plays the section, and if the leader hits it successfully without missing anything, the other players must hit the same section successfully. If a player misses a note, that player is eliminated from that round and receives a letter. If one gets 5 letters, that person is eliminated from the game! If the leader misses a note in their initial selection, that round ends, and another player is assigned as the leader. If everyone hits their section successfully, the round also ends, and another player becomes the leader.

Chicken (for 1 or more players): Everyone must attempt to get the lowest score without failing the song.

Party Mode (for 1 or more players): No fail, no score, no streaks, no star power, nothing except for you, your controller, and the notes. Just chillax and have fun! Almost like practice mode except not!

There's my suggestions.

Since "DragonFail" "sucks" so much, I won't post anything related or about them any longer.

Those are amazing

i particularly like Hot Potato

it could just be an image about the fretboard with an SFX for the change

maybe call it something like: "Rockstar"

Seconded. Would be a real testament to your skill. Partly because starpower would kill your score in that round, thus making it all on the player, haha.
