Double Strum!!!!!!
I would really like to know when this bug is gonna get fixed! FoF has been ongoing for a while now, and it seems there is no acknowledgement towards this problem.....I tell you what, if this was to be fixed, this game would decimate ALL!

FoFiX applied a patch (by me) to fix double strumming way back in November.
Use at least version 3.030, but preferably the latest stable release, which is 3.100.

But FoFix comes with the ALARIAN MOD: MFH3! it works somewhat, but still not up to quote!

FoFiX is Alarian/MFH Mod. The Alarian/MFH mod series has gone through many names, and the most recent is FoFiX, which it switched to quite some time ago.
And it has developed unbelievably since then. If you have been put off earlier generations of Alarian/MFH by some of the problems it used to have, forget all preconceived notions you may have, and just use FoFiX 3.100.
