What would you like to see added or fixed in FOF?

I think that .chart support would be great because the converters don't work to well and .chart allows you to place star sections wherever you want to and alot of other stuff that midi's don't allow.

Option for 2D mode is seconded.

Option for disabling multiplier flash is seconded. I've already made this mod on my own version, although there's no option to turn it back on again.

EDIT re. per-song HOPO settings: My version has a song.ini option called hopoThreshold which lets the song writer (well, me, because no-one else has my version) choose how close the notes have to be to be HOPO's. You can use any arbitrary number of ticks; you're not just limited to the default or 8th notes.

That was EPIC.

My songs. All made in EOF, beat-synced and note-synced, not very many missed notes.

Thats a nice stop-gap but the per-song HOPO requested is so you can set HO's at whole notes in part of the song and still have strummed 1/16th notes somewhere else to better match how the song is played.

How about supporting Gif files?

That way we can start using animated gifs as the background screen & maybe even for spinning notes and such.

And if you want to get real crazy, people can start making specific gif backgrounds for individual songs, and the game reads the gif from the song folder instead of the data or mod folder.

that would be nice, but I hate how gifs reduce quality heavily, but it's still a good idea.

This might sound silly ... but, I've been thinking the idea of "star/% -meter" that shows the current %/* you are having during the song

I have this implemented as a percentage on my own version. But I couldn't track the number of missed notes, so I made it kinda like the Rock Band star thing in that if you miss notes it stays at the same place rather than going down, so it isn't all that useful.

The thing with the Rock Band stars is that they follow score, not percentage...

So unless we have the star system recalculated to GH-style (points, not percents), it wouldn't really work that well...

Oh yeah, what about 2D notes built into FOF? For those of us with slightly slower computers/graphics cards, 2D notes would be a godsend compared to 1.2.451 (which I only use Coffee Mod on -- 2D notes/keys = saviour.)

Few suggestions:

- what about all with 2d graphics support and no svg?
this way we can get rid off amanith and their dependencies, no?

- 1.3 solid base with rockmeter and jurgenpower support...

- svn server where we can view or submit tickets, patches, and changes to the main source code...

Well if we ever want stages in the back and stuff, that'd probably be 3d, if it was a 2d image, it'd get repeatitive seeing the same camera panning over and over again, with 3d, it could randomly pick a location on the stage to host the camera and every couple of seconds flip the location, so we can't get rid of 3d completely. Then you people just go and say, oh just have a different 2d animation for each song, then we go, but there are 100's of songs out, do you expect us to make animated 2d backgrounds for each of them, with 3d it'd just have a standard set up.

Yeah I'm a supporter of 2d things because I have a crappy computer, but if you ever want a stage set up like GH, it'd be easier to do it in 3d. And if you don't like the feature, you could always have a switch in the game settings to turn it on or off.

I'd really appreciate a performance 2D mode.

I'd also like the ability to just import the songs that you want in the included importer.
