Animated Backgrounds in 4.0.0 (Different from most BG Posts)

This isn't the same type of Animated BG post that other people made. I sparked an idea that is possible in 4.0.0. Let's say that the devs have made it possible for video support in FoFiX 4.0. I had the idea that the game could search the song, folder that you chose to play, for video files. If the game detects a video file, the video will be played as a background while you play. Let's say I chose to play "Here it goes again". The game would find the video inside the song folder, and I would play along with a rock band video of "Here It Goes Again". (Perhaps in performance mode) And for syncing, the file wouldn't play until the countdown reaches zero. (Get Ready To Rock countdown) Of course, each video would have to be timed perfectly for the song to play at the exact time, maybe the game could use the song's BPM to edit the song to fit? Anyways, all this is is an idea, so it may be possible and it may not.

Have it, works, does exactly what you described except it's not linked to the bpm, it's linked to the song's clock/timer. It's already in the alpha, is quite stable and I don't encounter a lot of lag, this coming from the guy who has a 128 mb intel gma 950 which sucks big time in my laptop. It can read from the stages folder for the theme or if you have song stages enabled it will look for the video file inside of the song's folder, we already have song.ini settings for it to do start and end timing of the video as well.

Probably a smart move there. But if you keep your eye on the google code page, particularly http://code.google.com/p/fofix/source/list you can see what the coders have been working on. (Personally, I recommend subscribing to the rss feed)
