Based on what has been discussed in the other thread about piano/keyboard implementing in FoF, i thought up some stuff on how this could be made possible.
Instead of taking the time to make a seperate track from the MIDI file, you would just use the guitar track. You would set the HO/PO's to none, and fret the keyboard/piano ina song. Simple enough. You would then use a keyboard (say default guitar, just with edited picking buttons) to play. I think this should be an alternative until such a thing is implemented into FoFiX 4.0. Just a thought on how it could be done.

I'm not sure if it would really be that fun of a "piano/keyboard" experience if you can't even play half of an octave's worth of keys. A slightly better idea would be to put bass piano notes in one guitar track and melody piano notes in another. Have player 1 do the bass piano track and player 2 do the melody track, map the keys appropriately on a MIDI keyboard or something and at least you have a two handed piano-style game. Of course, this would be much better with a "no strum" cheat or MIDI marker.

I had this idea too (with two guitar parts), but it wouldn't work until FoFiX issue 666 is implemented (strum? On a keyboard?).
Then people could chart some prototype keyboard songs, but they would not have guitar parts. (unless you put the keyboard parts on the LEAD and RHYTHM guitar parts... hmm...)
