I thought exactly the same thing ~500 hours of playing ago. but now I am amazing. Follow my example, and we won't have to tone down the fretting. Not that we will anyway. :D

If you want, you could make easy versions of your favorite songs without much difficulty. Often, you can just take the amazing version, chop out certain notes, mix it in with the original and share it with everyone! =)

But yeah, easy songs are few and far between, but they're out there, even if they're in the game as "amazing."

I'm going to be making songs with 4 difficulties, so you can look forward to that.

Most people when first starting will have problems playing anything (i couldn't play anything above easy on the 3 supplied songs with FOF) for quite a while.. and found songs such as sweet child of mine (Guns and Roses) almost impossible - esp the intro with what I considered at the time to be fast note changes ;) Now I find these songs dead easy... practice and lots of it is the key. You can also modify the beats per minute setting of each song to slow down the scrolling rate.. this will give you more time to plan ahead etc... to do this go to the song editor.. once the editor is open press esc and then choose to set beats per minute. You will still need to press the notes at the same speed, so the spacing of the notes will be altered too... it does make playing songs such as stratovarius' speed of light actually playable though.. just because the song is called speed of light, doesn't mean it needs to scroll at that rate :D

u should download both Guitar Hero packs because that way u will get over 100 songs with 4 difficulties (supereasy included too) but i think that u will learn to play with medium difficulty within a week.

It would be easier to lure people to play FoF and get better at it, if there were more easy/supaeasy songs...

I had the motivation from the start and played those medium/amazing songs until I got better and actually started to enjoy the game, but I know most people won't play games they're not good at.

General rule, don't make your font the same color as the background of the forum.

Anyway, a bunch of the songs who people create label them the wrong difficulty. I've seen some supaeasy ones that should be labeled medium/amazing and some amazing ones that should be labeled supaeasy.

Best advice is to play the GHI and GHII packs until you get really good at the game, then start playing custom songs. I think the majority of FoF players are decently to extremely good at Guitar Hero, and thats why most of the songs are hard/amazing only.

I agree with the GH packs downloading, supaeasy/easy is good training (since some songs are quite quick even with easy) and when you feel ready take a step to medium and so on.

I can somewhat play amazing songs, though I prefer medium.

Making Amazing track to Medium or lower is easy. Basically, you can leave some notes off and change some quick switches to few semi long slides.

O really? Yeah, you probably just need the GH controller if you're already good at the PS2 GH (and btw, FoF is WAY more strict on hitting notes, so you're timing may need a bit of work too, but it'll come with time.)

practice, practice, practice, once you get the mentallity of picking in rythem and moving your fingers corrispondingly, you'll pick it up really quick, the songs that FOF comes with are pretty good starters
