Re: FoF - Song Manager - Manage your songs for FoF
for testing the chart2mid converter looks good it generates the tracks and difficulties right but the notes, bmps and events are completly messed up but well its only for test i hope that you will fix the problems
Re: FoF - Song Manager - Manage your songs for FoF
Love this program.
however, it freakin scares me because I know at some point I'll accidentally hit one of the "delete all" commands and lose all my tracks, or midis, or something.
Does it send them to the recycle bin, or just plain delete them?

Re: FoF - Song Manager - Manage your songs for FoF
Hmmm It seems like a really great program. However I seem to be having issues when fixing the Midi files. I click the Open in EOF button but nothing happens, as if I never clicked it at all. Any Ideas?
*edit*
Was just fooling around with making a career and I cant seem to get the career running at all either. I went to File>Start>Run Frets on Fire and encountered the same issue with nothing happening at all. Going to try and reinstall the program maybe something scdrewed up.

You need to set your paths to FoF and EOF in the settings menu of FoF Song Manager.
Re: FoF - Song Manager - Manage your songs for FoF
I've found a [little] problem with the "artist collection" feature... If you have 2 or more songs named the same (ie. "The Number of the beast" or "Paranoid" from GH3 and RB) the program overwrites the first found. It would be fine to create as many folders as song versions with a tag like this:
B -> Black Sabbath -> Paranoid (GH3)
-> Paranoid (RB)
I -> Iron Maiden -> The Number of the Beast (GH3)
-> The Number of the Beast (RB)
Easy as you should only check if the folder exists (ignoring case as Java is capable) and if exists, (a) use the upper directory name for tag or (b) add a custon tag from actual directory or (c) any other system to keep repeated songs...
[edited]
Another little thing I think it should be a piece of cake to fix... folders that start with a dot (.38 Special) could be included in (0-9) folder or (.) folder instead (.38 special) folder.
[edited2]
Which Java to exe did you use? thanks.
...Fine tool, BTW!!

Re: FoF - Song Manager - Manage your songs for FoF
Problem: Attempting to use the function to auto-remove tracks with dummy notes. It hits 38% on the progress indicator, then it stops, and brings up the busy mouse pointer. That's it. Doesn't seem to have actually done anything.
help?
thanks :)
oh, i did find an "output.log" file.. not sure if it was in the archive or created when it stopped, or what .. but .. it contains:

After running the function to 100% success, it appears in FoF that it didn't actually do anything, although Song Manager is no longer able to read any of my MIDIs that didn't have full tracks.

Re: FoF - Song Manager - Manage your songs for FoF
Yeah, mine always get stuck at 21% when I try the options to find songs with fake notes, or find songs songs with unreadable midis
Also, I found a song that plays perfectly on FoF, but the song manager can't recognize at all. And deleting it didn't solved my previous problem

Re: FoF - Song Manager - Manage your songs for FoF
Version 3.20:
- added song.ini entries: album, genre
- added song.ini entries: version, cover, tutorial
- added song.ini entries: diff_band, diff_guitar, diff_bass, diff_drums
- added song.ini entries: hopofreq, length
- added functions for album.png (add, delete, gallery, and so on...)
- added renamer "label.png => album.png" & "album.png => label.png"
- fixed functions "Delete all fake notes" & "Delete all fake note tracks"
- fixed "Tracklist Function" - "Create Artist Collection" (thx to "kikegg")
Some new song.ini entries are for comming FoFix 3.0.35 (r594 or above). Looks lite this:

@Handgrenade007:
No there must be more files. Pls download it again.
@fasteddy:
The are no more dependencies. Only the JRE 1.6. All other libraryies are in the lib directory.
@ekdikeo & oaksonfire:
The Java API for Midis cannot read all midi files. I don't know why. But in the update the functions "Delete all fake notes" and "Delete all fake note tracks" the program doesn't stop now at a midi file it cannot read. It overjumped this entry in the table.
@hkkane:
In your example there is not fake note. Fake notes are red entries and have between 1 and 5 notes per instrument and difficultly, e.g.:
