I seem to be getting a wierd bug where the script.txt from some songs is being copied to others...this is usually after I run 'Remove fake notes' or edit the song.ini...I think. I often do that at the same time, so I'm not sure which it is.

Typus,
Let me reiterate the obvious: Awesome tool. Thank you.

Sebku mentioned the case sensitivity issue a while back, and it seems to have slipped under the radar. I was wondering whether you planning on resolving that bug.

See Sebku's example.

Where, e.g., "Artist =" already exists in the INI, the Song Manager correctly reads the value, but then on a change, writes a new entry labelled "artist =" and leaves the original "Artist =" entry unmodified. Though Song Manager initially displays the changed value after it is made within the tool, upon a reload, Song Manager displays the first entry. As Sebku mentioned, FoFiX seems to use the last entry in-game.

sebku wrote:EDIT:
If the title name line (as goes for artist, maybe for all other) in the song ini begins with a big letter and you change something it will add a new line with a small letter. If you reload the directory it will only show the unchanged lines. (Haven't yet checked it in FoFix but am predicting the changes won't be seen there either.)

Example:

Spoiler:before:
Artist = Aerosmith
Name = Walk This Way

after:
Artist = Aerosmith
Name = Walk This Way
artist = Aerosmith (feat. Run DMC)
name = Walk This Way (GH Version)

EDIT 2:
Okay, in FoFix the changed lines are visible.

I've had the same problem. It has occurred on at least 2 occasions. I was adding suffixes (to identify the source of the song) to a long series of songs when it last occurred, and it appears that (at least sometimes), after the focus has been changed from a song with a script.txt, upon clicking the next song without a script.txt, the lyrics tab is not purged, and it rewrites the last song's script.txt in the next song's directory.

So I suddenly had several songs in a row with the same script.txt. When the next song with a script.txt came up, the lyrics tab would be updated properly, and then I'd have another series of songs with another repeated script.txt, and so on.

Is the old version of the tool still available?
The download link seems to be down and I really want to try the older version, because Java is slow as hell on my rig, dunno why.

I'm not sure if this was fixed in the new version, because the link's down and I can't download it, but in 3.23 whenever you moved the band difficulty to, say, one, all the other difficulties moved to one. However, if you moved guitar, bass, or drum difficulty to one, it wouldn't change anything.

Spoiler:

It's not a real goose, it's only a picture of one.
