That's one of the more difficult things. Since the grid snap controls mouse movement, it can be hard to select notes just before or after a snap position. The best way to work around it is to change to a higher grid snap value (ie 1/48), or sometimes you have to turn off grid snap entirely. If you want to move all notes to a grid position as a starting point, you can turn grid snap on to some value (ie. 1/16), select all notes (CTRL-S) and then drag just enough to have the notes align to a grid position. Then you can more easily adjust individual notes when you listen to the chart with clapping.

this is really frustrating. Im using eof to fret a song. Im stuck on the anchoring. Every time i find a note on beat. I try to place it and play through in slow mo to see if it matches the clap. But it doesn't so i move it and try again but now the clap moves the same increment that i moved the note. Can someone help?

If you move the note, the clap will move as well. What you want to do is get the clap to happen at the same time as the note sounds in the song. Then you can line up your anchor with the note.

so what do i have to change to make the clap line up with the note?

The clap is lined up with the note automatically. You need to adjust your AV Delay setting if the note on the screen doesn't light up when the clap sounds.

oo ok, but that leads to another problem. in the eof window it does not show the AV Delay where it should do you know how i could fix this?

Where is the AV Delay supposed to be displayed? It is located in the Settings dialog already. You can edit it there or you can use the +/- keys to change it.

For some reason it does not show up there. However i can still change it with those keys. Thank you soooo much for all your help now i can finally get this in motion. Thanks again!

Wow somebody shoot my brains out. When I change the bpm to what it needs to be (162.97) the other anchors still stay at 120! What am I doing wrong?

That is the intended behavior of anchors, they hold specific beat markers in place despite changes in tempo. If you want, you can set the first beat mark's tempo to 162.97 and clear all anchors by using Beat>Reset BPM.

how come when i miss a note when playing a song the song stops until i hit the right note the next time is there a way to keep the song active when you miss a note ??

I think it's the "miss" volume in FoF's options. This would be volume that takes effect if you miss a note and remains in effect until you hit a note.
