Video playback?
I've been trying to mess with video playback but im not entirely sure how to do it correctly. I can't seem to find a tutorial and im wondering really how it is that the folders must be structured or if there must be a specific way that the .ogv video has to be encoded in order for it to play correctly. Pretty new to this but i've gone and dug through threads to no avail. Wondering if anyone is willing to describe the process to me or at least link to a tutorial or instructions.

Re: Video playback?
I had been going by that but even following that the video refuses to play. D; Im thinking it has something to do with the theme or something causing conflict. That or the size of the video may be too large. Not sure if theres a cap or anything like that.

Re: Video playback?
Alright ExiledNightmare dude.
After messing about with it, i finally figured it out. I only got it working with these exact settings for fofix 4.0.0a1
Stage type: <video>
Song stage: on
songs folder>
>>>>>>>>>artist - name > (song files here)
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>open song.ini > add "video = default.ogv" > save it
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> move OGV file to the song it is for and rename it to default.ogv
It should work now.

Re: Video playback?
Yes! I managed to make it work with your info. Just a few kinks here and there but i'm pretty sure its because of the theme and the resolution of the video. Thanks a lot man you're the best.

Re: Video playback?
Decided instead of making a new thread just posting in this same one. Been having another issue with the video playback. Had it from the start too but I was shrugging it off being too happy that it worked. For some reason the video plays around 15% slower. As in slow motion kinda slow. Not even sure where to start tweaking to change that though it might just be another line in the .ini that would correct it.

Re: Video playback?
I'm not sure if this is related but have you removed the audio from the video files?

Re: Video playback?
Hmm I have not but I will try and post results. It appears to just be muted.

Ok removed audio from it but it doesn't change anything. Something strange to report though. I had charted a song and later found a higher quality mp3 of it which I proceeded to convert into .ogg. However, whenever I would try to use the nicer sounding .ogg it would play a little bit slower like the video in the background as well. And switching back to the other lower quality mp3 all of a sudden corrected it. This has me thinking, could it be the sampling rate of the .ogv? Is it even possible to set that as 44100k? Or whatever it is.

Re: Video playback?
well the guitar.ogg has to be 44.1Khz to play properly. So perhaps(if i'm understanding you) your new ogg file is encoded at 48Khz. So if you took the better audio mp3 file & saved it to 44.1Khz it should be fine.

Re: Video playback?
Yeah I was able to correct the mp3. Well more like lost it in a sea of folders that im too lazy to dig through. However it just has me wondering if that has anything to do with why the video is playing slower.
