Main menu Invisible

Postby Derelicht » Sat May 29, 2010 10:15 pm

When I start FoFiX, I get a blank, black screen, and I have to guess at the menu items. Is there any way to fix this?
I'm wondering, as it is rather annoying.

FoFiX version is 3.121.0.0

PC Specs:
OS: Windows XP Home Ed., SP3
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 3000+ @ 2.01GHz
System RAM: 768 DDR1 @ 2700
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500, 256MB VidRAM

I don't have that kind of money. It'd take months to save that up.

And it seems to be all of the base themes...

well try that first, that will help make sure that the theme isnt just missing files or something (though that looks unlikely now) wouldnt hurt to make sure though

I see you're using an amd athlon xp 3000+. That chip has no support for SSE2 and therefore there are some incompatibilities with numpy.
If you don't understand what that means, don't worry (neither do I), it will all go away if you simply remove the file "numpy.core._dotblas.pyd" from the data directory.

This pops up every now and then. Searching "fofix black screen" on the forums generally turns this up eventually.

Not sure if it will or not... Just try it and see. The file itself is not that important, just uses some features of most modern processors that might speed things up a little. If you don't want to lose the file, move it somewhere else, and if it doesn't fix the problem, move it back.
