But that's why we've got this thread. To come up with ideas that we can implement for 4.0.0, not 3.120. Besides, this is apparently real close.

* (WIP) Dali theme v0.8

* Major contributions to:
Jackzilla1's Guitar Hero III beta Gameplay Mod
(vapor) estemhorn's Real World theme

* plastic guitar fret buttons v1.2 (a variation is used in Death_97's Zelda theme)
* push-button fret buttons v1.0
* vibrating strings fret buttons v1.0 <preview> (strings come from worldrave's Guitar Hero III theme)
* mushroom cloud hitflames v1.2 (includes 3 brightness variations) <preview>
* realistic lightning v1.0

* The Urge - "Jump Right In" v1.29 - all difficulties, w/lyrics (3:43)
* The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - "Someday I Suppose" v1.14 - all difficulties, w/lyrics (3:28)
* (WIP) Fishbone - "Party at Ground Zero" v0.20 - amazing only (so far), w/lyrics (6:31)

IMO that needs new notes and keys (or all they just placeholders?), and a bit more colour (GRYBO coloured keys instead of all black would help)

Spoiler:

Memes are so funny hahaha I'm splitting with laughter I can't control this laughter at this meme which uses a word incorrectly oh hahaha

:glare:

That was EPIC.

My songs. All made in EOF, beat-synced and note-synced, not very many missed notes.

I vote for black frets over coloured ones.
I was wrong... maybe

I like the carbon notes too. They'd probably light up after hitting the correct notes.

the notes and frets are actually already out, the image was mostly about the meter

the texture looks really good, honestly i hope we go with something like this

it would be cool if it had a hint of color though, maybe fade to a bone white instead of steal gray

agreed - I'd like to see something a bit beyond the keyboard-key for the frets, but I think the idea of black frets in general should work nicely with those meters. What other sorts of meters do we need?

That's got SP, Streak/Mult, and rockmeter on it, I think. Perhaps we sub the SP thing for a star-meter (the 1-5/Gold/FC) bit of some sort, and then look into putting the SP along the side - or was it the rockmeter we wanted along the side? Either way I like where this is headed.

doesn't the star meter need to be seperate as its a shared meter based on all the players performance rather than an individual

Depends on the game type, RB uses individual SP but I'm not sure about GH (they changed quite bit in GH5 IIRC).
Anyway the SP meter looks like it's just an extension, so if you'd want to play a game type with shared SP I think it would fit graphically to just remove it from the info bar.

i was meaning the 1 - 5 star rating meter being a shared meter rather than the sp, but what you said got me thinking the meter could pop in and out, its hidden at the start, when u gain some sp it slides out
