is all this long time being spent on the online play feature? cause if that is so, I could see this taking atleast a few more months. good luck on the new FOFiX and I hope it kicks as much @$$ as the others did when I first tried them.

If we were, there would be recent commits involving network code. There have not been any; therefore that is not what we are working on at the moment.

here is what it says on my screen

Code: Select all

RuntimeError: ('maximum recursion depth exceeded while calling a Python object', <OpenGL.converters.CallFuncPyConverter object at 0x01A686D0>)

i cant post my log file becasue its too big for some reason

how long has fofix been out?

and how long has it been nuthing but singleplayer?

i think after all this time, we might need to setup an online mode.

who agrees?

Firstly, it is not single player only. You can easily get 4 people banging out band mode on one machine.
And secondly, online multiplayer is something that is on the cards for the future. There's more immediate goals in the meantime.

you should all remember that this version will commit the most changes of any version so far.

controller delay
video background
changing the midi capabilities
online+lan (maybe)
overhaul of the theme system
Save Game database
Overhaul of Audio handling

vocals, boss battles, face-off, volume controls, lyric spacing blah blah blah...

its pretty much an entire re-write.

so before asking how long it will take, learn python and help out because you should have enough time to :)

Online plays probably gonna lag like **** lol.

Is there gonna be more performance boosts? My laptop can't play FoFiX well, yet it can maintain constant 60FPS w/ no stuttering on GH3PC for a straight 3 hours O_o

My comp isn't a super computer with 12GBs of RAM or a 8GHz processor, nor is it a hunk of metal with the first ATI MOBILITY RADEON card, 512MB of RAM and 1.33GHz processor speed (Whiiiiiiiich was my last comp)

firstly you said laptop... secondly, youre not playing a game developed by programmers getting paid a WAGE to make this game work for you specifically... that it works on 200,000 computers at no cost to anyone is something to be proud of
