Help me with this error please

Postby JohnRacing » Mon Jun 01, 2009 3:24 am

Hi
I want your help to start my Fofix 3.120 with SVN properly
I installed all the of the Requires Source Modules for Windows, and follow the instructions, but now I get it and I don't know how to fix this:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "FoFiX.py", line 29, in ?
import codecs
zipimport.ZipImportError: can't find module 'codecs'

I hope you can help, and thanks

Does it run correctly from source, which is the way that you should be running it if you're using svn?

Are you absolutely sure you installed everything necessary? Did you use any different package versions from the ones listed?

Have you installed pyOGG? I think that's the problem.

The Python codecs module has nothing to do with audio and video codecs - it's for translating text between character sets. pyogg and friends have nothing to do with this problem.

Well, before this error, the game has marked errors in pyaudio, and OpenGL(_init_), but I downloaded the latest version, but it now appeared the error mentioned.
The other ones has been solved, (i think), because are all the errors marked.

The game doesn't run, and generates the file Fofix.exe.txt, and, if I open the Fofix.py, only generates a fofix.txt empty.

Sometimes this file "fofix.txt" have a process of ejecution (Importing MIDI,etc...), but later, generates the Fofix.exe.ini with the same error marked in the main post.

Actually I´m running Fofix 3.120 beta 1, but not the latest version, this doesn't update.
And I want to run the latest with the sources updated.

What can I do?
Thanks for the reply
