its a GREAT looking theme... some advice.

1. you should rebase it on the rockband 2 theme, as this is a little buggy and crashes alot on first-load and song-load.

and

2. the frets buttons should (look like they) go up and down, instead of just light up, as the faux animation is a little offputting.

other then that i love this theme, and would love to help in any way :)

Thanks for the comment, I've always liked the GH3 look, so that' why I went with it. Plus personally, i'm used to guitar hero.
I think it would take a lot longer to re-make this for RB, as
1. I got very limited time, 2. Most of the graphics wouldn't fit and have to be re-made
Although it is a nice suggestion. And I might take it up within 3 weeks once the school term is over

That's weird how it's crashing, I (truthfully) haven't had a single crash with the theme. I have tried the RB2 theme, and I found it was much more buggier. Thought hat could be because of different OS's, I'm not sure.

And finally, what do you mean by faux animation?

Cheers for the comment, great to know there's people willing to help :)

i didnt mean update it with rockbands style, i meant use the RB2 theme as a base and apply your graphics to that as 1. imo its not buggy at all and 2. it has access to all the new features.

the faux animating is the 3 types of fret button you see. the static, the pressed, and the strummed. theres is an inconsistancy (it may just be an off pixel) but something is making it look wrong.

as for the crashing im running FoFiX 3.100 stable on XP service pack 3 pro

RB and GH themes are very different graphically, and as such require redoing a lot of the graphics... Unless you're talking about things like graphical menus...? Or other things like overdrive neck?

For the notes and stuff it's fine, but the rock meter, score meters, starpower/overdrive are completely different.
Like the rock meter... A vertical filling bar VS. a needle pointing at 1 of 3 possible images from suck to rock.

Not a clue... next time it crashes, post the log file... there might be something in there.

you also have to delete all the "._" files as well. Mainly in the stages folder.
I meant to do this a while ago, I'm uploading a mirror of version 1.1 with all these files trimmed out already. It's 40MB, so it will take a little while to upload...

---- EDIT ----

It's uploaded:
