r1468 ignores mic input buffer overflows.
If you have had input buffer overflows, try r1468.

Lysdestic wrote:Hmm, never mind, it seems that the lightsaber sound was not resolved when I removed pulseaudio. That just eliminated the staticy sound I had elsewhere in game (everywhere xD). Odd. Sorry about that. Indeed, the sound for star power activation is strange in game, though the file itself is normal. How strange.
Edit: Adding more to the confusion, upon activating star power the sound is sometimes normal, and other times very distorted -- as stated previously, like a light saber sounds in the Star Wars movies.
OK, I am glad I am not the only one experiencing this. Like I said a few pages back, I first noticed this after installing Mint 7 RC1 that is based off of Ubuntu 9.04 with python2.6. So I don't know if it is due to the upgrade in python2.6, or if something changed in one of the revisions along the way.
Lysdestic wrote:Also, bass groove has some issues since the new neck render code was added. The game knows it's a bass grove, draws the texts, and boosts the multiplier, however, the bass groove neck does not draw.
I have noticed this too with the bass groove. Overlay doesn't work, but changing it to replace shows the bass groove with it split as it scrolls.
linuxmint 7 (Jaunty 9.04), KDE 4.2.3, 32-bit with python2.6 installed running FoFiX-SVN. P4-2.4Ghz, 1gig ram, BFG Nvidia 8400 GS (512mb) - beta driver 185.18.14, 2x X-ploder guitars.

Try to play and sing "Roadrunner" by "Hurriganes" next time since their drummer was the lead singer also ;)

There's no graphics, it's a new feature taken directly from GH3. Once we get some graphics going I think that they (the dev team that is) will enable it for other themes, but I don't think that there's any graphics to fall back on (well there is the icons in the megalight guitar hero theme but those aren't really that good).Slash666 wrote:So? I tried to find graphics in GH3 theme, but there aren't any. I can make some for RB1 theme.

Still a problem with 1468...now crashes when star power is activated.
That really has to be fixed.

Tug of war != GH battle
We're not discussing the RB tg of war battle mode, which isn't even started on.

You probably need to update your gh3 theme (It's also hosted via svn, though not the same address due to copyright laws).
megalight themes are allways updated with the svn, here the battle graphics I found from a quick glance there.
fofix/data/themes/MegaLight\ GH3/battle_icons.png
fofix/data/themes/MegaLight\ GH3/battle_rock_top.png
fofix/data/themes/MegaLight\ GH3/notesbattle.png
Other than those are (from the gh3 svn):
battle_frets, battle_hands, battle_whammy, spinnotesbattle, p1rocks and p2rocks.
the rock top frame will have to be redone for other themes I guess. I'm no theme wiz, so I guess I can't bring this conversation any further, but those are the graphics used so far, at least as far as I know.

Re: FoFiX v3.1xx development thread
Does FoFiX only work until a Debian distribution?
I've tried to run it on Fedora and it runs for a little bit, then it gets extremely glitchy and I have to eventually restart my computer because it gets so bad.
