Crazy crazy. Even when my siblings went to Catholic school Good Friday was a school day - albeit only for mass. Where on earth do you all live? Philly, Denver and Charlotte ripped me off! (Though I know for a fact they are not federal holidays...)

help plz
cant strum using bass and guitar and shaders doesnt seem to work for me
uh almost forgot i can run from fretsonfire.py but cant run from the script it says that i dont have opengl but i do have it on my 2.6 python.
the game is awesome

Added separated tail effects for killswitch and pitchbend.
I'm not going to make it RB2-like anymore, because I think we can create much better effects than Harmonix.

I'm currently working on new Neck class. It will be universal class for Guitar and Drums, and it should speed up all stuff related to neck drawing. There will be two draw() functions: DisplayLists method and VBO method.
Second method should prevent low FPS on new videocards with PyOpenGL 3.0, but it's not supported on older videocards (19xx-2001)

New DisplayLists/VBO image drawing function will be ready soon.

well i like the rockband effects :( at least make rockband effects and our own Awesome cool effects that harmonix cant touch

You said you do have it on your 2.6 Python, so perhaps you have another installation of Python (2.4?) without pyOpenGL and you are unwittingly using that. Carefully check that the correct Python is on your PATH.

Try going to Start->Run (or press Windows key + R), then type "python" in the box and hit OK. You will see what version you have been using then.

before i was using python 2.4 and then i installed 2.6
on the run command "python" appears that i have python 2.6
on 2.4 i had pyOpenGL 3.0 anyway.

Lol, I don't get any days off for Easter or Good Friday or anything like that, but I do have a five-day weekend around the end of April for no apparent reason. Someone mentioned Denver? Well call me a hippie but I'm talking about the Boulder school district about ten miles away from that. And I tell you, I've got the worst senioritis ever.

On topic: Yeah, I would like to see RB2-style tails as well, that would definitely be what I used most. Especially if you can get the whammy effects to look like they do in RB2.

If we're going to make our own unique shader tail fx that are not like RB2 or GH, then we should make it look like the tails are on fire with a motion blur and particles rising off if we can do that. From what I have heard about shaders we should be able to create particles using them.
